DESCRIPTION:Irish trail Races are delighted  to bring you our annual Sugar Loaf 10km\, the race you all love (to hate!). With great views\, a top route and technical varied trails\, what’s not to love. It’s a fantastic route around this iconic mountain. \nThis is a great race to start your New Year race calendar!! \nOpen to all Early bird offer of €20\, normally €25 per person. \nOur route is full marked and very easy to follow. The race is timed and there are prizes for 1st/2nd male and female. \nTrail shoes and rain jacket are essential. \nNo walkers please! \nWhere: The Sugar Loaf Carpark\, Co. Wicklow \nTime: Race starts @ 10am\, Registration begins @ 9am and race brief is at 9.45am

Following this avenue participants will soon catch sight of the majestic Main House\, long admired as the most lavish Regency mansion in Ireland\, which has recently been restored to its former glory. The route takes us along the front of the House itself\, and makes its way out the avenue where we will turn down by the ‘caves’ before meandering onto the walkway surrounding the lake. \nWe will make our way all around the lake taking in some of the most spectacular of views\, climbing back up to the main avenue and making our way towards the ‘Main Entrance’ Gate with our finish on the avenue within the grounds. \nWhether you walk or run we look forward to welcoming you to our 6K\, and we hope its a very enjoyable return to Ballyfin for many of you who attended Patrician Brothers Ballyfin and to others who wish to see inside this exclusive estate!! \nPLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FROM STEWARDS WHEN YOU ARRIVE IN THE LOCALITY REGARDING PARKING\, REGISTRATION\, STARTING THE RACE\, ALONG THE ROUTE AND AT THE FINISH. \nIT IS OUR BEST INTENTION THAT EVERYBODY ENJOYS THIS EVENT TO THE FULLEST AND IN THE SAFEST WAY.
