DESCRIPTION:Roscommon Harriers A.C. are pleased to announce our 5th annual 10 Mile Road Race is taking place this year on July 7th.  The race is located on the outskirts of Roscommon Town\, commencing at 11.30 am.Following on from the success of the last four years\, in particular 2017 was a sell-out pre-race day\, we guarantee all participants a fantastic race day\, with a new and improved route\, the route like previous years is predominately flat\, perfect for those hoping to achieve a PB\, and ideal for runners new to the 10 mile distance and those wishing to simply enjoy a scenic flat race! Our race distance\, course and timing also fits nicely with marathon training. \nParticipants on the day can expect exceptional hospitality not only in terms of the post-event food (which is now legendary! and partly the reason for being voted in the top 5\, 10- mile road races in Ireland!) but also the local support encouraging runners along the route\, if you let us know what club you hail from you might see a sign encouraging you along the way! Every runner receives a complimentary technical t-shirt and medal to remember your day. The race is also chipped and timed. DESCRIPTION:Born to Run Tralee Marathon Club are proud and excited to bring you the fourth annual Born to Run 40 Mile Ultra Marathon and second 2 person relay while introducing the first running of our 4 person relay. Taking place on Saturday July 28th in the town of Tralee\, this 40 Mile Ultra-marathon consists of ten 4 mile loops.  The course is made up of a relaxing (and flat) 1 mile river walkway (concrete) and country roads (not quiet flat in places). Each loop has two hills of approximately 0.5 miles each and have a climb of about 90 feet each. These hills are immediately followed by an equal downhill section which will be a welcome relief after the climb.

DESCRIPTION:The 6k run starts in Garrafrauns at 2 pm on the 6th of August and finishes in Dunmore and is an annual event during Dunmore Festival.  \nWe have chip timing to ensure this is an enjoyable event for everyone. Registration finishes at 1.30pm SHARP. \nAlso\, the first 200 runners and walkers to register will receive a Technical Running T-Shirt. In order to receive a T-shirt in your preferred size\, runners and walkers should pre-register online before July 25th. We will do our best to accommodate sizes for all other online registrations. Finally\, these limited edition T-shirts cannot be guaranteed to late registrations. \nRegistration Cost\nOn-Line or Sunday (day before the race) registration:\nAdult: €15\nJunior: €10 \nLate (Monday\, pre-race) Registration Cost:\nAdult: €20\nJunior: €15 \nOnline registration closes on Friday 3rd August at 10 pm. \nRegistration Details\nEarly Registration Continues in DUNMORE ENTERPRISE CENTRE on SUNDAY 5th August\, from 12 pm and 2 pm. Costs will remain at the lower early registration price at this point. This is also the ideal time to collect your registration pack and avoid the queues. \nFinal registration is on MONDAY in GARRAFRAUNS Community Centre from 11 am to 1.30pm. Tops and chips should be collected at these times. The price increases to €20 for senior entries and €15 for junior entries. \nTo accommodate families who wish to register a number of people\, we have the option of a reduced fee – on the day registration\, where runners receive a chip only (not the t-shirt). This is €10 for adults and €8 for children. (Chip only early registration on Sunday will cots €8 for Adults and €5 for Juniors) \nRace Details\nThere will be a shuttle bus to Garrafrauns leaving from the Square in Dunmore at 12.30pm. Group Warm Up at 1.30pm. The race starts at 2 pm. We are welcoming runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. All participants gain free entry into the festival sports day (please bring bib number to gates for free entry) where the prize giving will be held after the race (approx 4 pm). Sports Day is in the Soccer pitch this year (beside the playground and very close to the finish line of the race). where there are shower facilities for runners. Ther will be a physio in the clubhouse changing rooms. SUMMARY:Knocknarea 8 Mile Loop
DESCRIPTION:The 7th Annual Knocknarea 8 Mile Loop Run and Walk takes place on Sunday 12th August in Strandhill\, Co. Sligo. Walk kicks off at 10.00am followed at 10.30am by the run. This is an AAI Registered event. \nRegister online at strandceltic.com or the Knocknarea 8 Mile Loop facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Knocknarea8MileLoop/\nEntry fees for the run and walk are €15 for the run and €10 for the walk. This year the Knocknarea 8 Mile Loop is sponsored once again by Tegre Sliding Wardrobes. Chip timing for the race is provided by Core Timing.\nThe run and walk are open to people of all abilities. The course is essentially an 8 mile loop around the picturesque Knocknarea Mountain starting and finishing in Strandhill. There will be two water stations on the course as well as mile markers to allow contestants to keep track of their progress. The race and walk promise to be a fun event but the route includes challenges for both the novice and experienced runner as the course includes two category 5 climbs\, the first of these being the Glen Road. The run has proved to be an ideal warm-up for the Warriors Run for many runners over the last few years. There are prizes for all categories and refreshments with be served in the Strand Celtic Clubhouse afterwards. There is a special prize if either of our male or female winners can set a new course record.\nThe run is being held as a fundraiser for Strand Celtic FC.

This event is run by local athletics club Corrib AC and is AAI permitted.\nAdvantages of this event:\n• No cars\n• Opportunity to try elevations\n• Beautiful location\n• Finish on a 900m down-hill\n• Options of 8k & 4k routes\n• 8k perfect for those who have completed the Streets of Galway 8k training or are planning to run the Carna 10k.\n• 4k ideal for those starting their XC training\n• Friendly atmosphere & lovely goodies afterwards.\nThere are striking technical t-shirts for entrants.\nPrizes:\nPrizes for:\n• The first three male and female athletes in both races.\n• The fastest male and female juvenile runner in the 4k- aged 14-17 years.\n• Corrib AC members will be competing to be the fastest club member in the 4k and 8k.\nThe Galway Wind Park\, (Seecon East) is located in the Cloosh Valley on the R372\, approximately 7km south west of Oughterard\, Co Galway/ Uachtar Ard\, Co. Na Gaillimhe. This is approximately 33kms from Galway City and takes on average 45-50 minutes to travel.\nIf coming from Galway city\, travel on the Clifden road N59 to Oughterard (30 minutes). In Oughterard\, turn left onto Station road\, Oughterard (this is the left hand turn just before the bridge and the RC church\, continuing on the R372 for approximately 7km ( Bóthar Sheanadh Phéistín/ “Shannapheasteen” road).\nPlease note that sections of the Shannapheasteen road from Oughterard are narrow. The race start point is on the left-hand side at car park 2\, Seecon East. Please continue past this to park.\nWe highly recommend car pooling.\nParking: The carpark for race athletes; registration and toilets are based at the operations centre of the Wind Park-on the right-hand side about 1km away from the start point.\nhttps://goo.gl/maps/pgE6e2gT52B2\nRegistration: Registration will take place from 09:30-10:40am.\nNB strict age restrictions: Please don’t bring younger children to the race location unless there is a non-running adult with the child. Children younger than 14years of age will not be allowed to run. This is based on athletic guidelines.\n• 4k race only for those 14 years of age & older.\n• 8k race only for those 16 years of age & older.\nEntry fee: €20 for 8k. €15 for 4k.\nDetails on 8k race: An up and back down route.\nThe first 3k of the route involves gradual ascents with some downhill sections; there is a tougher ascent after the 3k mark.\nAt the 4k mark\, runners will turn around and enjoy a nice downhill section\, followed by 5-6 small ascents mingled with downhill/flat sections; ultimately finishing on a pleasant downhill. In summary the first 4k of the route is the hardest section so pace yourself and aim for a negative split on the way back.\n4k route:\nAn out & back route.The first 900m will have gradual ascents\, taking a left hand turn downhill\, turn at turbine 15\, running uphill turn into and out of a short side route toward turbine 14\, continue uphill\, ascend and finish on a nice downhill piece. DESCRIPTION:What is the date of the race for 2018?\nThe Irish 3/4 Marathon will be run on Sunday\, 7th October 2018 – Starting time is 10.00 am \nHow can I enter the event?\n2018 Event Entry HERE\nName changes will be permitted for free But Only Permitted up to Monday 24th September 2018 \nPlease do not attempt to run the race under anyone else’s number as this messes up results and often prize allocation\, etc \nFuture Entry for this event Will Be Refused to anyone who uses someone else’s number of permits their number to be used by anyone else after 24th Sept changes deadline \nWhat race is being held?\nThe race is a three-quarter-marathon – Distance is 19.664 miles or 31.646 km \nWhere is the Irish 3/4 Marathon Based?\nOur race is based in Longwood\, Enfield\, Co Meath – Location & course map HERE \nThis is and easy 30 mins drive from M50 & M7 and 50 Mins from Athlone \nPLEASE Carpool to Access Priority Parking \nCars with only 1 person will park furthest from Race HQ/ Start & Finish\nDriving Directions to Longwood are HERE\nFrom South & East access is via Enfield (Via M4 or R148) – Go west from Enfield for ~3km on R148 (Direction Kinnegad) & take right turn for Longwood (5km) \nTurn left at roundabout entering village and follow signs to parking and race sign on \nFrom West go towards Enfield on R148 from Kinnegad ( Exit M4 or M6 motorways at Kinnegad) \nTake left turn at big white house ~3km after Clonard and follow road to Longwood.village \nFollow signs to parking and race sign on \nFrom North approach Longwood from Navan / Trim on R160 \nGo straight at roundabout entering village and follow signs to parking and race sign on \nWhat is the route for the 2018 Irish 3/4 Marathon?\nRoute for the 2017 Irish 3/4 Marathon was as shown HERE \nIn 2018 we plan to slightly alter the start of the event to aid race and traffic management. \nStart and finish will be within the GAA Grounds / Race HQ \nTotal climb over the 19.6 mile/ 31.6 km route is only ~88m which is approx 3/4 of the climb in DCM \nWhen do I collect my race number?\nRace sign-on for those pre-entered on-line will be on race day at race HQ between 8.15am and 9.30am. \nRace sign-on will close promptly at 9:30am \nWill there be race medals?\nYES- Details of the 2018 Finisher Medal will be announced in due course \nWhat is the 2018 Race Top?\nFor 2018 we are providing mens and ladies fit quality tees as detailed below \nPlease provide the correct size for somewhat tight fitting tops when you enter – If in doubt or if you like a loose fit then order a size bigger than normal please \nYou will need to take the size selected at sign-on as orders will have been made in accordance with this information provided by you at entry stage \nIf size is not suitable and you wish to change then this will be facilitated post sign-on subject to available stocks \nWe will also be providing an additional running accessory – Details will be announced shortly.

SUMMARY:Lake Region Medical Charity 4 Mile Run/2 Mile Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Lake Region Medical 4 Mile Fun Run/2 Mile Walk takes place on Sunday 7th October at 12:30pm on the scenic grounds of the JFK Arboretum just outside New Ross in County Wexford.\nThis charity event is in aid of the Educate Together\, National School\, New Ross and St Patrick’s Special School\, Enniscorthy. \n \nThe day will commence with registration from 11:30am and events kicking off with the “Lake Region Kiddies Dash” at 12:30pm which covers distances of up to 80 meter sprints for kids from the ages of 4 to 12 years old (kids go free). This will be followed by a 4 mile timed run @ 1:30pm consisting of 2 laps of the park for runners of all ages and disciplines. DESCRIPTION:KTRTC will host the Highly popular and sell out 12K’s of Christmas  event again this year on the 8th of December at 10am. There will also be a 6k option .There will be ample car parking spaces available. Prizes for 1st \,2nd\, 3rd in both male and female categories. The run will be chip timed by professionals.{Pop-up- Races}so it really is an event for serious runners or the contented amateur enthusiast . Hot chocolate and marshmallows will be served after the race. Hopefully there will be a special visit from Santa Claus if he is not too busy. Registration online: 12 K – 12 euro 6k – 10 euro
