SUMMARY:INIS IRON MEÁIN **Cancelled**
DESCRIPTION:**This event has been cancelled due to COVID19 restrictions** \nInis Iron Meáin is the original Island road race which continues to impress runners year after year! This event has been so successful for the past 15 years that it has inspired many other communities to stage similar events. ‘Lá an 10K’ is a major social event for Inis Meáin\, that sees the return of many familiar faces year after year. \n  \nColáiste Naomh Eoin\, the Island’s secondary school\, is one of Ireland’s most successful small schools and this event is key to ensuring that the school continues to thrive thus ensuring the viability of this Atlantic gem. The course is exceptionally scenic with a choice between a 5km or 10km road race or a more difficult 12km route which includes a spectacular beach run along Ceann Gainimh. Our 5K category was added to cater for both novice and senior interests.

SUMMARY:Rock Runners A.C. Virtual Run
DESCRIPTION:DATES – Friday 1 st May 2020 – Saturday 16 th May 2020\n2. ABOUT – Everybody just wants to help don’t they? In a difficult and sometimes distressing set of circumstances such as where we find ourselves at present with the coronavirus pandemic\, it’s important to remember we’re all in this together. With that in mind\, a group of eager runners from South West Fermanagh have decided to\, well\, er….. go running. And anyone else who’d like to join with us. Sure it’ll look a bit different with the lockdown restrictions. Running will be virtual and in isolation. But between the above dates\, the Rock Runners from Derrylin are inviting runners of all abilities to run whatever\nyou can and for an extra bit of fun you can take a video of yourself and send it to our Facebook Page. Suggested distances are between 3 and 6 miles but you can run less or more as you see fit. So hands up who’s ready for a bit of virtual running action….. \n\n3. THE CAUSE – Marie Curie is a well known and respected organisation working in the local community (and all across the UK). They provide care and\nsupport for around 2\,500 people living with a terminal illness in Northern Ireland each year. Of course at this present time their workload gets no smaller and indeed bigger in many ways with their services also being called upon by local nursing homes where necessary. In these extraordinary times\, Marie Curie has launched an ‘emergency appeal’ as per the link below and all proceeds from our fundraising run will go towards this appeal so that people’s lives can continue to be valued in the local area\nhttps://www.mariecurie.org.uk/donate\nUpon registering through a portal set up by njuko you will receive your confirmation details and these will also be emailed to your given address. An option to donate your agreed amount will be available or you can leave it until after you have completed your challenge \n4. Club facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/rockrunnersderrylin/

entrant. \nPayment for the entry is to be sorted between the old and new entrants but “touting” of entries for a profit is not permitted. \nOn 21st September we will finalise our entry list & order our personalised race numbers so transfer requests must be  processed prior to that date \nNo deferrals to subsequent events are possible \nPlease Do Not allow anyone else to run with your number \n Allowing someone else to use your number in this manner is unfair to those who missed out on the entry limits. \nThis also means you are not covered by our 3rd party insurance which is vital for this event to take place on the public roads and to utilise privately owned land for parking\, etc \nIt also adversely effects the results service we can provide with our timing partner particularly in relation to age group prizes and in the past has given us incorrect results where some category winners have missed out on being presented with their prizes on the day\, etc so Please “Play Fair & Comply With Conditions Of Entry Thanks“ \nIf you allow someone else to use your number in this manner then you will not be allowed to enter future events \nSO PLEASE – NO NUMBER SWAPS UNLESS DONE OFFICIALLY ONLINE BY 20th Sept 2020 \nWhere do I pick up my Race Number?\nRace numbers with timing chips attached are available for collection on race morning between 8am and 9.30 at Race HQ. \nNothing will be posted out in advance \nPhoto ID must be provided at Race Sign On – You Must Sign On for your Own Number – No collection on behalf of others \nWill the course be marked?\nThe route will be clearly marked and marshalled. \nThere will also be signs at each approximate km & mile intervals FYI \nThese signs are not officially measured and are for information / general assistance only.\nAt each 1/4 marathon point Split Timing will be provided to give you chip timed results including 1/4 marathon splits. \nWhere can I leave my car key or bag?\nA small bag drop area will be provided by the race organisers those who have not access to vehicles on the day but be aware that peak time delays are likely to occur in this area – Items left in this area are to be labelled with your race number before handing in – We will provide labels – Although every effort will be made to keep this area secure\, the race organisers will not accept responsibility for items left in this area and we recommend that you keep your vehicle key & valuables on your person if possible \nWhere will water stations be located & what will be provided?\nWater stations will be provided at 4 locations along the route as well as the finish \nThe following refreshment stations are planned for the 2020 event: \nAs with our 2019 event\, in 2020 we will endeavour to go greener by introducing an alternative water provision solution with no single use plastic bottles provided \nStation # 1 (approx 4.5 mile/ 7.0km) – 150ml cups of water & own bottle refill\nStation # 2 (approx 9 mile/ 14.5km
