DESCRIPTION:Wild Air Run is an award-winning family fun run that features 10 of Europe’s biggest inflatable obstacles as part of a 5K course. 2019 brings a new feature such as MEGA FOAM to our 4 lane\, 60m long slide! \nIt can be completed by all fitness levels and all ages between 7-70. All the family can get involved. \nFollowing last years successful tour around Ireland. We are super excited to be coming to Malahide Castle\, Dublin on 27th July & 28th\, Marlay Park\, Dublin on August 24th & 25th. \nAt Wild Air Run the focus is on fun. From fitness fanatics who will find the run a genuine challenge\, to  the armchair athlete and everyone in between who will enjoy things at a more relaxed pace. The 10 massive obstacles combine agility\, creativity and above all\, fun. \nBefore you can claim victory over Wild Air Run you will finish with Europe’s largest inflatable slide which is a crazy 60m long and 8m high covered in foam. There will also be a ‘Chill Zone’\, an area for both participants and spectators to relax and enjoy music\, games and food and drink from local vendors. \nAll events will kick off its first wave at 10:00am\, with additional waves running in 20-minute intervals until 4:00pm. \nTickets for Wild Air Run are on sale at www.wildairrun.com. DESCRIPTION:A wonderful event for the family catering for all levels of walkers\, joggers and runner. Prizes for 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd Male and Female. 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd\, 4th\, 5th Male/Female U16 also receive a prize. \nThe route is a popular loop with local athletes set on quiet country roads. Registration will take place in Ballinderry National School from 11am on the morning of the race. The race starts at Gills Pub\, Ballinastack\, Ballyglunin\, Co Galway at 1pm. Suitable for all levels and Fit for lifers are most welcome. \nRace is AAI permitted and timed. The Duathlon\, centred around the stunning grounds of Westport House Estate\, will consist of a 5k run\, 18k cycle and a final 1.7k run which will start & finish at Gracy’s Bar and Bistro at “the farmyard” at Westport House. \nStage 1 is a 5k run which brings participants around the grounds of Westport House Estate\, taking in a forest trail and stunning views of Westport House and gardens.  On exiting the forest trail\, participants will run toward the back of Hotel Westport before entering the tree-lined walled laneway in the direction of Gracy’s. The final stretch takes runners out to Golf Course road\, turning left in the direction of Carrowholly for 600m before turning back into Westport House Estate via Orchard lane\, and finishing at T1. \nTransition will be located in the carpark at the farmyard\, near Gracy’s Bar and Bistro. \nStage 2 – Cycle: Participants will collect their bikes at transition for the 18K cycle which takes cyclists out to Croagh Patrick and back via the coast road. \nStage 3 will be a 1.7k fun run which takes runners from transition out to Golf Course Road for 600m before turning left back into Westport House Estate. Old clothes are advisable as you prepare to be splashed with colour as you head down the final stretch toward the finish line. Relay team runners should aim to pick up the rest of your team en route to run the final 100meters together and cross the line as a team. The finish line will be located near Gracy’s Bar and Bistro. \nRelay Options: \nNot ready to complete the entire duathlon? No problem. Just sign up as part of a 2 or 3-person relay team. Maximum team size is 3 (2 runners\, 1 cyclist). The timing chip (worn on the ankle) must be handed over to your relay partner to complete the next stage of the event. \nChildren’s event: \nA 1.7k colour run will be open to Age 7+. This will take place at 9:05\, immediately after the adult race start. (This is the same route as the adult’s final 1.7k run). While this course will be safe and well marshalled with just 600 meters on road\, parents / guardians are asked to run with younger participants to ensure their safety along the course. \nStill feeling energetic? Get yourself on Santa’s good list this year by joining the Kinsale Triathlon Club’s Santa Dash 5k on Sunday 9th December. This annual fun run will be raising much-needed funds for the Cork charity ‘Cork Penny Dinners’. \nGet out with your family and friends for a fun day in the gorgeous seaside town of Kinsale. Dressed in your Christmas fancy dress and running along a scenic 5k route that meanders its way around the historic streets of Kinsale\, you’ll be feeling fit and festive as you cross the finish line in the town’s centre. \nChase Santa around ‘Ireland’s Foodie Town’ as you pass cafes\, restaurants and shops. After the run\, you can enjoy a warm meal in the gourmet capital. \nSanta’s elves will present prizes to the first boy and girl under 12 across the line\, the first male and female finishers\, and the first child (under 8)-guardian combination to finish the run together. Santa will also picked the best dressed runner to win something special. Anyone giving Santa’s Helpers/race stewards a hard time will get a lump of coal in their stocking. \nRegistration is at Actons Hotel from 10am to 11am. The race start is at 11.30am in the Town Park. Registration is €10 for adults and €5 for children (cash only). This year\, there’s a special family rate of €30 (no matter how many smallies you have!). Entertainment will be provided by everyone’s favourite\, Cork’s Red FM\, who’ll help you warm up before you start. The big man from the North Pole has said he’ll take some time out of his busy schedule to run with us.
