DESCRIPTION:In these unprecedented times when we all need to stay at home to protect ourselves and society at large\, The Castle Series who host Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon in Galway have launched their inaugural virtual race series for all ages and abilities. All to keep as many people as possible connected\, fit and sane in this period of unprecedented lockdown\, and to raise as much money as possible for their charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support. \nFollowing the success of their Easter Virtual Challenge\, the Castle Virtual Series will run three events\, across three weekends in April and May\, with three country themes to mirror their summer programme of European events. Whether you’re 8 or 88 there is a race for you. All competitors are welcome to race virtually with The Castle Series community from within the boundaries of your home and immediate surroundings. \nThe Virtual Series will celebrate the host countries of the Castle Triathlon Series events across France\, UK and Ireland. You can sign up to one\, two or all three events. \n\n\n\n\n\n 24th – 26th April Vive La France\n 8th – 10th May VE Day 75th Anniversary\n 22nd – 24th May  Luck of the Irish\n\nChoose from 7 different run/bike/run duathlon options and three running distances. Track your progress throughout each weekend on our leader board and tune in for the live prize-giving ceremony on Facebook. \n\n\nPrizes will be awarded for gender winners in each age and distance category and special awards will be provided for the most creative course design and best dressed. \n\n \nTo create a truly community event\, they are asking all participants to carry out their challenge over the event weekends making the most of the space and time you have to exercise in a safe but competitive environment. \nGiving Back\n\n\n\nThe Castle Virtual Series will donate 20% of each race entry fee to their long-term charity partner\, Macmillan Cancer Support. DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately due to the restrictions from Covid 19\, Breffni 3 Province Challenge 2020 will not be going ahead. \nWe are heartbroken making this decision as we know our charities are already struggling in their fundraising efforts due to the pandemic. \nAnyone who has already registered will be contacted shortly with the option to transfer their registration to 2021\, or a refund.  \nShould anyone wish to make a donation to our charities in the mean time\, please contact us and we can send you on the details for each.  \nWe\, as a community\, hope you are all healthy and well\, please keep safe during these times\, and we look forward to seeing you all at our 20th Anniversary Event on 31st July 2021. \n Breffni 3 Province Challenge will be held on August Bank Holiday Saturday. We have a Half Marathon\, 10K and 5K Run as well as a 25K & 100K cycle. The Half Marathon & 10K are AAI approved. \nThis event has been organised by the Community of Arva with the aim of raising funds towards Cancer Care\, Cure & Research. \nThese events will raise much needed funds for St Luke’s Oncology Trust\, Breast Cancer Research (Formerly NBCRI). and Cavan/Monaghan Cancer Homecare Association. Tel 086 084 8633 for your sponsorship cards! \nAll participants receive a custom designed technical t-shirt\, medal and certificate on completion. \nRaise as much sponsorship as you can as your registration fee will be included in your final amount. \nRefreshment\, BBQ and live entertainment by at the finish line in Market Square Arva. Later in the evening buffet in the Breffni Arms Hotel followed by entertainment and dancing til late!

DESCRIPTION:My Beach Family Run at the Beach Hut Clogherhead.\n\nThis promises to be a great family day out. You can make this as fun or as competitive as you like.\n\nClogherhead is great location to bring famly and friends. If you are not familar with Cloghherhead here is a google link to help you get there.  Click HERE\n\n\nEntry fee:\n\n5k – 10euro\nKids – 5 euro\nFamily – 20 euro\nVirtual – 5 euro\n\nOption to purchase event t-shirt & / or medal \n\nEVENT DETAILS:\n\n\nWe will post your race number prior to the event. Adults numbers will be chipped and the kids 1k will not be chipped timed. Kids can also run the 5k if they wish to do so.\n\nPlease arrive early on the morning of the 18th to avoid delays. Ensure you park in safe place and not effecting local residents. The Public toiltes can be used that are located beside the Beach Hut coffee shop and Beach car park.\n\n\n\n5k Race start 9.30 am;  The start and finish line will be located on the beach in the front of the Beach Hut coffee shop. You will need to run out and back for 5 laps. We hope that you can get plenty of support as you return for each lap.\n\n\n1km Kids Race start 10.15 am. 500m out and back along the beach. \n\n\nSack Race 10:30 am. \n\n\nFREE COFFEE TEA OR ICE CREAM; Present your race number to a staff member in the Beach Hut for your free choice of Coffee or tea with treat\, or ice cream.\n\nIF YOU PURCHASED MERCHANDISE THIS WILL BE POSTED TO YOU JUST BEFORE OR AFTER THE EVENT. \n\nPlease adhere to social distancing and please try keep to your own family and close friends\nPlease do NOT attend if you have any symptoms of covid 19.\nPlease do NOt attend the event if you have been in close contact with a confirmed case of covid 19 within the last 14 days of the event\nPlease respect the local community and their residents.\nPlease Tidy up and bring a plastic bag to discard of any rubbish as we would like to keep the beach clean and tidy\n\n\nVIRTUAL ENTRANTS:\n\nRun / walk your chosen distance(s) from 16th to 30th July 2021\nAdd your time(s) to MyRunResults site\nIf you have purchased merchandise your pack will be sent out  in batches based on date ordered. SUMMARY:Run Run Rudolph 2023 / Kilcullen GAA
DESCRIPTION:Kilcullen GAA’s “Run Run Rudolph” Christmas event is back for 2023 but is bigger & better – we’ve added a 10 KM event (2 laps of our 5K course) plus the 5 KM Run & 2.5 K Family Walk/Run events. \nRun Run Rudolph 2023 will take place on Sunday the 10th of December 2023 starting & finishing at our clubhouse. \nAgain\, this event is a fundraiser supporting the addition of 3 Hurling & Football playing pitches & other infrastructure at our Kilcullen clubhouse\, all part of our “Field of Dreams” plans. \nThe event is open to athletes\, fun runners\, joggers and walkers. \nDogs must be kept on a lead at all times & controlled. \nAll entrants will get Christmas bells with their race numbers to create a lovely Christmas atmosphere as they circuit Kilcullen town. \nPrizes for 1st\, 2nd & 3rd Male & Female runners in both 10 & 5 KM events as well as spot prizes for the Family Walk/Run event. We’ll also have prizes for the best fancy-dress costumes. \nOnline entry closes at midnight on Friday the 8th of December\, late entries will be available the evening of Saturday the 9th of December at the Clubhouse & limited late entries on Sunday morning (but only before 10 AM). \nNote: Registration may close earlier if we reach our numbers limit before this date. \nThis year we are offering a postal service (for an additional fee). Our partner Pop-Up Races will post your event numbers to you approximately 1 week before the event thus making your event morning easier & stress free. \nDepending on numbers selecting this option – we will offer number collection at the Clubhouse on the evening of Saturday December 9th & Sunday December 10th (but only before 10 AM). \nThe event will start at 11 AM with the 5KM & 10KM events departing 1st to the sound of Chuck Berry’s Run Rudolph Run. The 2.5 KM Family Walk/Run will depart shortly afterwards again to the sound on Run Rudolph Run. \nBoth the 5 & 10 K events will be Chip-timed. Prize giving will take place at the finish line area after the race where Christmas goodies will be on offer to all participants. \nLast year we enjoyed a great Christmas atmosphere at the clubhouse & we plan to add to that this year – Santa has pencilled us in again & we hope will surprise us with a visit if time allows with his busy schedule. \n**NUMBER POSTAGE OPTION – NUMBERS WILL BE SENT OUT ON THE WEEK OF THE RACE**
