DESCRIPTION:Ireland’s original Zombie Run at The Jungle\, challenges participants to complete a daring 6K obstacle trail run while being chased by blood-thirsty\, running Zombies. \nThe Zombie Run returns this year and will take place on Sunday 13th October 2019 \nThis year’s course will be a challenging 6K obstacle run\, complete with various ‘infected zones’ where you will be faced with the task of evading our life stealing zombies. It will also have a disorientating Cornfield Maze to find your way through and lots of painstaking obstacles to conquer such as the exhilarating Giant Water Slide\, the slippery Slip N Slide and many more. As usual\, we will have few other spooky surprises to make it a little more daunting. \nOn the after the adults event we have the kids Zombie Run with a 2km and 6km zombie chasing course.

DESCRIPTION:Enter online\, Entry on the day €5 extra \nWe would like to inform you of the North East Galway 10km race on Sunday 13th October at 12 noon in Moylough\, Co Galway. The event is being arranged by the Moylough 79 Soccer club. The race is open to all runners\, walkers. \nVenue \nThe race starts in the village of Moylough and finishes at the Moylough Sportsfield. There will be changing facilities available at the Sportsfield and at the local Community Centre.  \nThe route has been measured by Andy Talbot\, Athletics Ireland. \nEntry Details \nThe Registration Fee is €15.00 if you register online at www.runireland.com prior to the race contact 087 3665692. Race number pick up available in Moylough Community Centre on Sat 12th Oct 6pm to 7pm and again on Sun 13th from 10am \nRegistration on the Morning of the Race will be €20.00 in Moylough Community Centre from 10am \nPrizes \nFirst 80 registered will receive a Technical T-Shirt \nPrizes and Light Refreshments will be given at Moylough Sportsfield after the race. \nCash Prizes will be given for 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd Place\, Senior Man and 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd\, Senior Woman \nCash Prizes for Over 40 and Over 50 \nRace permitted by AAI and timed event \nRace Start is from the village of Moylough near Moylough Church. SUMMARY:Bóthar na Naomh (Cloone) Adventure Duathlon 2019
DESCRIPTION:We’re back again in 2019 for the 7th year of our adventure Duathlon. As past compeitors will confirm\, this is a duathlon race with a difference – both fun and hardship are guaranteed! We aim to provide a high standard race at a very affordable price. The race aims to attract beginner to elite racers and we also cater for families with the inclusion of a 5km Trail-run and an Under 16s 5km adventure race. The U16s race was the highlight of our event in 2018\, we over 60 children taking part (& we couldn’t get them off the water slide)! \nAll participants are also included for food and refreshments after the race and visitors have the option to eat their fill for €10. \nTruly a race to challenge the most competitive athlete and the those looking to challenge themselves…and a great way to start the bank holiday weekend! Hope to see you there again this year…bring a friend as we are aiming for 150 in the main event. We are including Chipped Timing for all the races again this year – based on feedback. The Duathlon\, centred around the stunning grounds of Westport House Estate\, will consist of a 5k run\, 18k cycle and a final 1.7k run which will start & finish at Gracy’s Bar and Bistro at “the farmyard” at Westport House. \nStage 1 is a 5k run which brings participants around the grounds of Westport House Estate\, taking in a forest trail and stunning views of Westport House and gardens.  On exiting the forest trail\, participants will run toward the back of Hotel Westport before entering the tree-lined walled laneway in the direction of Gracy’s. The final stretch takes runners out to Golf Course road\, turning left in the direction of Carrowholly for 600m before turning back into Westport House Estate via Orchard lane\, and finishing at T1. \nTransition will be located in the carpark at the farmyard\, near Gracy’s Bar and Bistro. \nStage 2 – Cycle: Participants will collect their bikes at transition for the 18K cycle which takes cyclists out to Croagh Patrick and back via the coast road. \nStage 3 will be a 1.7k fun run which takes runners from transition out to Golf Course Road for 600m before turning left back into Westport House Estate. Old clothes are advisable as you prepare to be splashed with colour as you head down the final stretch toward the finish line. Relay team runners should aim to pick up the rest of your team en route to run the final 100meters together and cross the line as a team. The finish line will be located near Gracy’s Bar and Bistro. \nRelay Options: \nNot ready to complete the entire duathlon? No problem. Just sign up as part of a 2 or 3-person relay team. Maximum team size is 3 (2 runners\, 1 cyclist). The timing chip (worn on the ankle) must be handed over to your relay partner to complete the next stage of the event. \nChildren’s event: \nA 1.7k colour run will be open to Age 7+. This will take place at 9:05\, immediately after the adult race start. (This is the same route as the adult’s final 1.7k run). While this course will be safe and well marshalled with just 600 meters on road\, parents / guardians are asked to run with younger participants to ensure their safety along the course. \nStill feeling energetic? The Community Centre is located across the road from church. This will be signposted from all approaches to the village. The race starts at 12 noon. Ample parking facilities in the surrounding area. \nThis year’s event is sponsored again by the local businesses in the area. Any profits from the race go to the Belcarra Community Recreational Park & Playground Development Fund. \nPrize giving and the legendary local refreshments will be available in Belcarra Community Centre.
