DESCRIPTION:So\, what exactly is The Brandon Bay Half marathon & 10k event? \nThis is a half marathon and 10k event which is run entirely on the golden\, sandy beach that stretches around Brandon Bay all the way from Fahamore in the Maharees\, to Fermoyle point under Mt Brandon itself. \nThe event starts and finishes at Fahamore in the Maharees and competitors doing the half marathon effectively run from one point of the 7 mile beach to the other and back (Fahamore – Fermoyle – Fahamore). \nThe event is once again being organised and run by Castlegregory Celtic F.C. and is a non-profit event and is the only running event in Ireland ENTIRELY run on the beach!! \nWhat a challenge. All proceeds to sports clubs\, schools & nominated charities. \nEntry is €30 / €40 and includes bespoke event medal\, tech tee and timing chip.

DESCRIPTION:Back for our second year on the beautiful Sliabh Bawn in Co. Roscommon. With spectacular views amongst the wind turbines we are offering a 10k\, half marathon and a full marathon distance but the option to do a back to back. (Same distance both days) it is an off-road event with alot of rolls hills but upon completion you feel fully accomplished. \nAll finishers will receive a well designed and unique medal with an additional medal for the people who are brave enough to complete the b2b! SUMMARY:Seven Sisters Mountain Marathon - Ireland’s Toughest Marathon / Half
DESCRIPTION:RACE DETAILS\nThe Seven Sisters Mountain Trail Marathon is a 42k Race incorporating approximately 4\,000m (13\,000ft) of accumulative ascent; a 22k Half Marathon with 2\,000m of ascent organized by Excel Sports. The terrain consists of heathery soft ground\, sheep tracks\, and loose stone / gravel\, and follows a route similar to the Glover Trail. The route will be Marked. \nThe event takes place in Dunlewey\, Co. Donegal. Competitors will experience Donegal at its best with magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding counties. \nFULL MARATHON\nThere will be a 13 hr TIME LIMIT for this event. There will be a STRICT cut off for checkpoints along the way on the course. If you fail to make the checkpoint you will be sent on a lower course to the finish. This is in the interest of safety to all involved. \nHALF MARATHON\nThere is an 8 hr TIME LIMIT for this event. There will be timed checkpoints along the way. If you fail to make a checkpoint you will be sent on a lower course to the finish. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nGPS TRACKING\nWe have teamed up with Primal Tracking to introduce Live GPS tracking to the event. Both events will be tracked live! This allows family and friends to follow you throughout the race. This is also essential for Race Organisers to monitor athletes on the mountains for safety reasons. A live page will be available on race day. \nFITNESS\nA high level of fitness is recommended. Experience in off-road running and technical terrain would be beneficial. Experience of races over Half Marathon distances would be necessary to take on this challenging event. \nWALKING\nDue to the nature of the event NO Walkers will be allowed to take part. The routes will take in some of the most historic sites in the city before winding out the country roads\, making its way back to Kilkenny to finish on The Parade in the heart of the city. The city will also play host to a 30k\, half marathon and 10k\, with all participants arriving back at The Parade on Saturday evening. All finishers will be rewarded with a bespoke medal and technical t-shirt to celebrate the battle victory!

DESCRIPTION:Get in the FASTLANE for this new half marathon and 10km taking place on the 29th of September in Dublin. \nI guess the clue is in the name ‘FASTLANE’…. We believe that this race will be a flier. Yes – ye savy marathon runners will note that the date works to tick the half marathon box on your way to training for the October marathon. Might be a bonus PB in it for you too. Same PB potential applies to the 10km. \nThe race is located along the scenic settings of the Grand Canal and around the newly surfaced perimeter of Grange Castle business park. The route has that country feel on the edge of the city. It is a flat course with long straight lines. The route has an elevation gain of 27m. Not so bad…. \nEach finisher will receive a cool bespoke medal (to be revealed soon) and both the half and 10km participants will receive a training top. There are Early Bird prices to the end of July. Half marathon is €30 and the 10km is €20. The important bit to tell ye is that this race has an entry limit. We are only accepting 500 for the 10km.  Don’t leave it too late. \nPrices are now €33 for the Half and €25 for the 10k \nThis race is for everyone with an allergy to hills! SUMMARY:3 Marathons or  3 Half Marathons in 2 days + 50k & 100k
DESCRIPTION:3 marathons in 2 days is an endurance challenge. This is the 6th edition of the event which takes place in Ballina\, Co. Mayo. \n2020 is the 3rd year when we offer choice of 3 half marathons in addition to 3 full marathons\, and first time when we are holding a 100k and 50k run on the first day of the challenge! \nAnd you can take part in 1\, 2 or 3 events – it’s all up to yourself. \nSo Ballina is calling you on the weekend of 29th February & 1st March 2020. Come\, join us and challenge yourself. \n3 marathons/halfs\, 2 days\, 1 location and 3 different courses. \nSchedule: \n29th February (Saturday) \n– morning event – full marathon\, 50k and 100k starts @ 7am\, half marathon start @ 9am. Course is 2 loops around Ballina/Killala area for a full a marathon and out and back run for the half marathon. Cut off time is 1pm and applies only to half and full marathon runners. 50k runners will have to complete additional 5 mile loop after completing a marathon course\, while 100k runners will have to complete 5 mile loop twice before switching to afternoon marathon course! \n– afternoon event – full & half marathon starts @3pm. Course – looped course – loop length is 1522m\, therefore you have to complete 14 laps for half and 28 laps for a full marathon. All runners have to have a head torch after 5:30pm \nCutoff time is 9pm. \n1st March (Sunday) \n3 distances to choose from – half marathon(start @9am)\, full marathon & 50k (start @8am). \nCourse – looped course with a loop of 1.65mile long – so 8 laps for a half\, 16 for a full and 19 for 50k. Cut of is 3:30pm \nAll events HQ is located right beside a start&finish line @ Ballina Town Soccer Club. \nChanging rooms\, showers\, and food will be available @ the clubhouse. \nSt. John’s ambulance will be present during the event. \nEvents are chip-timed and all finishers will receive finisher medal upon completion of the course. \n
