SUMMARY:Mullingar Half Marathon 2022
DESCRIPTION:New 5k added for 2022!\nThe Race\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Aon Mullingar Half Marathon starts in Mullingar town centre\, runs out to the countryside\, along\nthe royal canal and into the town park to the finish line where you will be met with drink and food to\nrefuel the body and not to mention the all important Mullingar Half Marathon Medal.\nAll runners must register before the race start. Full registration details to follow. The Mullingar Half\nMarathon will be adhering to public health guidelines and we ask all our participants to follow same. \n\n\n\n\n\nRace Route\n\n\n\n\nThe race begins on Pearse Street and finishes in the Mullingar Town Park. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRacers Recieve\n\n\n\n\nWhile the 2020 Mullingar Half Marathon\, scheduled for March 17th\, had to be postponed only weeks before the event\, due to Covid\, the Mullingar Half Marathon organising committee put in a huge amount of work and committed a lot of expenditure putting everything in place in advance of the event. \nIn light of this and in keeping with our move to a more sustainable event\, and our ultimate objective to raise much needed funds for local charity T.E.A.M.\, we are going to utilise the 2020 merchandise for the upcoming 2021 event. This includes finishers medals and t-shirts\, which include the March 2020 date. \nWhile a big objective of the race is to create an enjoyable event for all runners we must also be mindful of our commitment to our local charity T.E.A.M. and be considerate of their fundraising shortfall in 2020. \nLike us\, a lot of you were disappointed the race couldn’t go ahead last year and couldn’t get your 2020 medals and t-shirts so we hope you will understand and support us in our sustainable and financial decision for utilising the fantastic 2020 merchandise. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWater Bottle\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMedal\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nT Shirt\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nT Shirt Back\n\n\nRegister Now CLICK HERE

SUMMARY:Forest Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Portumna Forest Marathon\nTaking place in Portumna Forest Park. Forest marathon has a unique course and a distance for everyone. \n10K / Half / Full / 50K / 100K \n\n\n\n\n\nTaking part in the Portumna Forest Marathon is a spiritual experience – while it tests the body physically\, it soothes the mind in equal proportions. The runners\, crew\, and marshalls blend in with the environment and although there is plenty of clapping and encouragement for the runners there is a serenity about the place that bows down to the beauty of the natural environment. \nEveryone talks a little softer and smiles a little wider. When those inevitable Irish rain showers put in their short but frequent appearances\, everyone looks up at the raindrops through the leaves and marvels at the reflections of the rainbows in the puddles – appreciating the fact that the rain had a vital role to play in providing such a luscious backdrop for the run. \n\n\n  \n  \nFor more information go to www.forestmarathon.com
