DESCRIPTION:The Ros Run Sliabh Bawn\nDistances 10km route\, half marathon\, full marathon & ultra marathon (50km)\nBrand new event in county Roscommom coming in 2018. It will be a large looped route with breathtaking view of the surrounding counties amongst the forest on gravel finished roads.This route starts and finishes up on Sliabh Bawn mountain which is located on the Lanesboro to Strokestown road\, 10 mins from Roscommon town.\n\nSliabh Bawn is now the home of a wind farm providing sustainable energy provided by board na Mona and Coillte.\nSlieve Bawn is a small but highly significant mountain set among the lakes and flatlands of eastern Co. Roscommon.This gives a view of approx 250kms – almost coast-to-coast – one of the widest in Ireland \nThis is a back to back event\, so you are welcome to run on Saturday the 28th of July or Sunday the 29th of July or if you are up for it… you can do both!! \n-Location: Doughill forest on Sliabh Bawn mountain Ballyduff\, Roscommon \n(approx 5km from Strokestown & approx 15km from Roscommon town) \nMeeting Point on the morning – St Faithleach GAA ground\, Ballyleague\, Roscommon \nDate – 28th & 29th July \nStart Times:\nUltra Marathon- 8.00amFull marathon – 9.00am\nHalf marathon 10.00am\n10km route – 11.00am \nOnline registration closes Sunday the 17th June 2018 at 21.00.
