DESCRIPTION:We will be hosting our 24hr event in UL on the 13th/14th April it will be run on a mile loop which consists of a newly laid running track of compacted aggregate. There will be shower facilities available for the 24hrs. Pasta at 6hrs and 12hrs\, porridge at 18hrs\, boiling water\, fruit and treats available for the duration of the event\, floodlit for the night time. \nEvent Options: \n– 24 Hour \n– 12 Hour \n– 6 Hour \n– Full Marathon on either day \n– Half Marathon on either day \n– 18 / 20 Miler as the last long run before Great Limerick Run \n \n  \n

It follows a very flat course winding along the shores of Locha Lua in the stunning Lee Valley. Runners will first head east on the R584 from Ballingeary turning right in Inchigeelagh village and returning on the scenic South Lake Road to complete the circuit of the lakes which is an exact half marathon distance. There is also a relay option with the change point in Inchigeelagh Village.\nThe event will be officially measured and registered by AAI.\nThis is guaranteed to be a great day out . In 2012 a Guinness world record was broken in retro running! Individually people have consistently got PB’s. \nIn 2016: Half marathon 68% PB’ed and 10km 70% PB’ed.                   Wexford has PB potential \nLast year 1\,900 people enjoyed the scenic and fast course. Half marathon also has pacers catering for 1.30/ 1.45 / 2hrs. \nWexford has proven itself a must do race for quality\, friendliness and atmosphere.
