DESCRIPTION:This unique event in aid of Voices for Down Syndrome Galway takes place on beautiful Inishbofin Island\, situated on Connemara’s stunning Wild Atlantic Way. The island is steeped in history\, and is renowned for its traditional music and unspoiled sandy beaches.\nInishbofin Half Marathon & 10k will take place on Saturday 12th May 2018. Whether you’re a serious runner looking for a new challenge\, or a rookie looking to run\, jog or walk on quiet roads\, the route offers a mix of flat and inclined terrain\, meandering through fine scenery\, with spectacular views of the beautiful Connemara mountains. Your registration also includes return ferry ticket and post-race BBQ with live music. \nEnjoy a weekend of island hospitality\, whilst raising vital funds for Down Syndrome Ireland\, Galway Branch.\nRegistration fee: €60 includes\nreturn ferry crossing\nentry to Half Marathon/10k on Saturday 12th May\, 10am\nsponsorship pack & tech race tee shirt\nsnack & water stops during event\nlight refreshments provided after race (showers available)\nBBQ with live music on Saturday evening \nAs this is a charity event\, we require all race participants to raise a minimum of €100 sponsorship for Down Syndrome Galway’s speech and language therapy\, education and social projects. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 13th May 2018 sees the 3rd Searlait Tywang Memorial Road Run again we are hosting 500M Kids Dash\, 5K\, 10K\, 10 Mile & Half Marathon \n2018 promises to be even better. \nWe once again are offering a distance to suit everyone with our half marathon\, 10mile\, 10km and 5km events and of course our kids 500m dash for our up and coming runners. This year’s event is capped at 700 participants with 150 of these places for the 5k event. This year we are timing our 5k event and yes you will all receive a custom made medal.

It consists of both a 10km and Half Marathon which are available to both walk & run. \nThe Bay Run is a charitable event with all proceeds (after costs) in aid of the Bantry Hospice. It has raised over €13\,000 in the last 3 years and plans to raise even more this year.

DESCRIPTION:Lough Cutra Castle in Gort is the backdrop to this action-packed weekend of triathlon racing in Gort\, Co. Galway. This first race of the Castle Triathlon series in 2018 sets the scene for a competitive and fun series\, hosted within the beautiful grounds of the Castle and surrounding area of stunning South Galway. \nAll of the triathlon races at Lough Cutra Castle kick-off by launching into an open-water swim in the lake\, transitioning to the bike route which circumnavigates Lough Cutra itself with The Half Iron Gauntlet cycle taking in the beautiful and breathtaking Burren National Park whilst the run features a mixed terrain in the stunning surroundings of the Castle. \nThis year’s event promises to be an amazing festival of triathlon & multisport with events of various distances to test those chasing a personal best and embrace those who are dipping their toes into the sport of triathlon for the very first time. \nTriathlon Ireland Major Events\nLough Cutra Castle Triathlon has been awarded a hat-trick of qualifying races on the Triathlon Ireland Major Events Calendar including; A National Series Standard Triathlon\, National Mixed Relay Club Championships & Super Series Standard (draft legal) Triathlon in 2018 \nNEW for 2018\nGalway will host Swim only events on Sunday May 26th with the introduction of three swim only distances; 1 mile\, 2.5km and 5km\, suitable for those wishing to dip their toes into the sport of open water swimming or test their open water swim ability over a longer distance. \nThe off Road 10K and Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 27th May around the fabulous estate at Lough Cutra Castle providing runners of all abilities with the opportunity to enjoy an off road\, scenic and stunning course which has previously only been open to athletes participating in one of the triathlon events. \nThere is something for everyone at Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon & Multi-Sport festival in 2018\, check out all the details on www.loughcutratri.ie  \nFollow us on Facebook HERE

DESCRIPTION:Castle Triathlon Series the organisers of Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon have added both a new Half Marathon and 10k race to its festival of triathlon and multisport on Sunday\, May 27th in Galway. \nThese new events will give runners of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy the incredible off-road course on the castle grounds which have previously only been open to triathletes. \nThe off-road Half Marathon & 10k in Galway will take place in and around the fabulous estate at Lough Cutra Castle finishing in front of the privately owned Castle on the shores of the Lough. \nCastle Triathlon Series are offering a 15% discount on race entry until March 26th 2018. \nThe off-road half marathon & 10k form part of the 2018 two day festival of triathlon and multisport with a variety of triathlon races and swim only events to choose from over the weekend.
