DESCRIPTION:Voted 30 out of the Top 50 Outdoor Events in 2011 by Outsider Magazine. \nThe Scenery is beautiful So what could be more fun than Running the Gauntlet? \nAre you tough enough? \nAll finishers will get a special medal with the profile of the route carved into the top of it and the mark of Tyr on the front\, the ancient god of single combat\, victory and heroic glory! \nAll finishers will receive a custom made sweat wicking t-shirts! \nBut only the Bravest Finishers under 2 hours will receive a special coveted Black T-Shirt. \nSub 1hr 45min Finishers will receive a special red T-Shirt.\nSub 1.30 Finishers receive a Grey T-Shirt \nTea\, food and soup at the finish\, provided by Kate Kearney’s Cottage.

This is Ireland’s flattest half marathon and flattest 5 mile. It takes place in the scenic setting of Clontarf Promenade and Bull Island with views of Howth Head and Dublin bay. The race is contained within an off road promenade and Bull Island giving it unique and relaxing appeal.\nBoth races are open to runners/ joggers and walkers. The flat terrain makes it an ideal race to aim for a PB. The half marathon has pacers to help you achieve your Goal. The 5 mile is all on hard surfaced ground.\nBack with a bang after the Sell Out success of July 2017. We have gone with the same formula which attracted 3\,000 walkers\, joggers and runners to this flat course in July. It certainly has the big race atmosphere!
