DESCRIPTION:The 29th annual Croí Corrib Charity Cycle (sponsored by Corrib Oil) is coming back to Galway and registrations are now open! \nThe 2023 cycle will be taking place on Sunday\, June 18th\, starting and finishing in Galway City. We are excited to launch our new routes which will take in the breathtaking scenes of the Wild Atlantic Way while incorporating the peace and tranquillity of Connemara. \nWe are not a state-funded organisation\, so each year we have to generate enough revenue to ensure we can continue to lead the fight against heart disease and stroke. The Croí Corrib Charity Cycle\, now in its 29th year\, is one of our most important fundraisers of the year and your support is greatly appreciated! \nDate: Sunday\, June 18th\, 2023 \nStart/Finish: Starting at Dangan Sports Pavillion and finishing at Croí House \nRegistration: €55 \nThere are two route options to suit all abilities: \n107km route: Departs from Dangan Sports Facility Carpark (adjacent to NUIG)\, via Moycullen\, Spiddal\, Rossaveal\, Maam Cross\, Oughterard\, Moycullen\, and finishes back in Croí House\, Newcastle\, Galway City. \n47km route: An out-and-back route that departs from Dangan Sports Facility Carpark (adjacent to NUIG)\, via Moycullen\, Oughterard\, back through Moycullen\, and finishes in Croí House\, Newcastle\, Galway City. \nAll registrants will receive a limited edition Croí Corrib Charity Cycle finishers t-shirt\, full route support\, mechanical support\, and food throughout the day\, including a post-event burger and party at Croí House! \nRegistrants who raise an additional €50 or more will receive a limited edition Croí Corrib Charity Cycle Jersey and will be in with a chance to win a bike worth over €1000\, courtesy of Westside Cycles! \nYour continued support of the Croí Corrib Charity Cycle will help us to keep delivering our lifesaving programmes to those suffering from heart disease and stroke. \nRegister Now CLICK HERE

DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED\nTAKE PART IN THE BIKE-2-BOFIN\n\n\n\n\n\nDATE: SATURDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2023 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBIKE-2-BOFIN is an annual 90k charity cycle from Galway city winding through stunning Connemara scenery to the port of Cleggan and the ferry for beautiful Inishbofin island. \n  \nThis fun event\, which is open to cyclist of all levels\, is both challenging and unique\, with the option of an overnight stay on Inishbofin to enjoy some island ceol and craic. \n  \nFull support will be available on the day to all cyclists\, with a sweeper vehicle\, a luggage support vehicle and a food van. \n \n  \n\nCyclists are welcome to participate in either route option: \n  \n\n90k Route…Galway-Moycullen-Oughterard-Maam-Recess-Clifden-Cleggan-Inishbofin (ferry crossing from Cleggan to Inishbofin).\n45k Route…Cycling group regroup at Maam Cross refreshment stop\, where cyclists participating in the shorter route will join the group.  Maam-Recess-Clifden-Cleggan-Inishbofin (ferry crossing from Cleggan to Inishbofin).\n\n\n\n  \nThis cycle is in support of local charity Down Syndrome Galway (www.downsyndromegalway.ie). This charity supports over 300 families in Co. Galway and receives no government funding.  100% of monies raised will fund vital services for children and adults in County Galway. Since its inaugural in 2013\, the event has raised over €170k\, a staggering achievement for all involved. \n  \nFUNDRAISING \n  \nThe primary purpose of BIKE-2-BOFIN is for all participants to approach the event in an enthusiastic manner and enjoy a worthwhile endeavour.  We ask that participants raise or donate a minimum of €120 (excluding registration fee)\, via one of the following options: \n  \nA) Sponsorship Card…card and monies to be returned to a committee member at registration on the morning of the cycle. \nB) www.idonate.ie Fundraising Page…to set up your own fundraising page through our iDonate BIKE-2-BOFIN 2023 event page \n100% of monies raised by each participant will support the vital work by the charity. \n  \n  \nABOUT BIKE-2-BOFIN 2023\n  \n  \n90k ROUTE: GALWAY-CLEGGAN-INISHBOFIN \n  \n\nCycling group to meet at St Mary’s College\, St Mary’s Road Galway at 8am on Saturday 10th of October.\n90k route…Galway-Moycullen-Oughterard-Maam-Recess-Clifden-Cleggan.\nThere will be a scheduled stop at Peacocks Hotel (approx. half-way point) for refreshments and food.\nFull support will be available on the day to all cyclists\, with a sweeper vehicle\, a luggage support vehicle and a food van.\nArrival in Cleggan and ferry at 4 pm to Inishbofin for a night of ceol and craic!\n7pm after party buffet dinner and live music at the Dolphin Hotel.\n\n  \n45k ROUTE: MAAM CROSS-CLEGGAN-INISHBOFIN \n  \n\nCycling group to regroup at Peacocks Hotel\, Maam Cross\, where cyclists participating in the shorter route will join the group.\n45k route…Maam-Recess-Clifden-Cleggan\nFull support will be available on the day to all cyclists\, with a sweeper vehicle\, a luggage support vehicle and a food van.\nArrival in Cleggan and ferry at 4 pm to Inishbofin for a night of ceol and craic\n7pm after party buffet dinner and live music at the Dolphin Hotel.\n\n   \n  \n\nACCOMMODATION \n  \nA variety of accommodation is available on Inishbofin\, however it is essential that participants book their own accommodation prior to the event. Bikes will be safely transported back to Galway and arrangement will be made for bikes to be collected from St Mary’s College on Sunday 8th October.\nSunday 8th October\, return ferry departs Inishbofin at 10.45am\, followed by bus back to Galway.\n\n  \n\nSAFETY \n  \n\nA safety statement has been prepared for the event and will be acknowledged by each participant prior to the cycle. Remember…NO HELMET…NO CYCLE\n\n  \n\nREGISTRATION \n  \n\nRegistration fee for the 90k/45k cycle is € p/p (non-refundable)\nRegistration fee includes : entry fee to 90k/45k – race pack & event t-shirt – food/refreshments stops en route – return ferry to Inishbofin – dinner/buffet plus entertainment on the Saturday night – bus and transport of bikes to Galway on the Sunday.\nThere will be NO registration on the day of the cycle\, all cyclists must register online at  www.njuko.net to participate in the event.\n\n  \n\nFollowing the success of the previous BIKE-2-BOFIN and early registration is advisable.
