DESCRIPTION:Quest Lough Derg is the latest addition to the Quest Adventure Series. Race around some of Ireland’s most iconic waterways\, kayak on majestic Lough Derg and run along the banks of the mighty Shannon. Cycle through country roads\, quaint villages and sprawling forests. \nFor the second time Quest will take place on the banks of Lough Derg on Saturday 12th September 2020. This exciting event will see participants start and finish in Ballina and run\, cycle and kayak their way around Lough Derg taking in locations like Tonn Toinne\, Garrykennedy\, Ballycuggaran and Moylussa. \nThere will be three routes to choose from for participants\, the 22km ‘Challenge’ route\, the 57km ‘Sport’ route and the 69km ‘Expert’ route. DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED\nTAKE PART IN THE BIKE-2-BOFIN\n\n\n\n\n\nDATE: SATURDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2023 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBIKE-2-BOFIN is an annual 90k charity cycle from Galway city winding through stunning Connemara scenery to the port of Cleggan and the ferry for beautiful Inishbofin island. \n  \nThis fun event\, which is open to cyclist of all levels\, is both challenging and unique\, with the option of an overnight stay on Inishbofin to enjoy some island ceol and craic. \n  \nFull support will be available on the day to all cyclists\, with a sweeper vehicle\, a luggage support vehicle and a food van. \n \n  \n\nCyclists are welcome to participate in either route option: \n  \n\n90k Route…Galway-Moycullen-Oughterard-Maam-Recess-Clifden-Cleggan-Inishbofin (ferry crossing from Cleggan to Inishbofin).\n45k Route…Cycling group regroup at Maam Cross refreshment stop\, where cyclists participating in the shorter route will join the group.  Maam-Recess-Clifden-Cleggan-Inishbofin (ferry crossing from Cleggan to Inishbofin).\n\n\n\n  \nThis cycle is in support of local charity Down Syndrome Galway (www.downsyndromegalway.ie). This charity supports over 300 families in Co.
