SUMMARY:Bóthar na Naomh (Cloone) Adventure Duathlon 2019
DESCRIPTION:We’re back again in 2019 for the 7th year of our adventure Duathlon. As past compeitors will confirm\, this is a duathlon race with a difference – both fun and hardship are guaranteed! We aim to provide a high standard race at a very affordable price. The race aims to attract beginner to elite racers and we also cater for families with the inclusion of a 5km Trail-run and an Under 16s 5km adventure race. The U16s race was the highlight of our event in 2018\, we over 60 children taking part (& we couldn’t get them off the water slide)! \nAll participants are also included for food and refreshments after the race and visitors have the option to eat their fill for €10. \nTruly a race to challenge the most competitive athlete and the those looking to challenge themselves…and a great way to start the bank holiday weekend! Hope to see you there again this year…bring a friend as we are aiming for 150 in the main event. We are including Chipped Timing for all the races again this year – based on feedback. DESCRIPTION:This multi-disciplinary event involves Cycling\, Running\, (or walking) and Kayaking. As multi-sport events go\, this is well suited to anybody with a reasonable level of fitness. The entire course is on well marked roads and forestry tracks so getting lost will not be an issue. The start and finish of the challenge is at the GAA Hall at the GAA field in the village of Newcastle\, not too far from the towns of Clonmel and Cahir\, Co. Tipperary.

DESCRIPTION:Quest Lough Derg is the latest addition to the Quest Adventure Series. Race around some of Ireland’s most iconic waterways\, kayak on majestic Lough Derg and run along the banks of the mighty Shannon. Cycle through country roads\, quaint villages and sprawling forests. \nFor the first time Quest will take place on the banks of Lough Derg on Saturday 14th September 2019. This exciting\, brand-new event will see participants start and finish their event in Ballina and run\, cycle and kayak their way around Lough Derg taking in locations like Tonn Toinne\, Garrykennedy\, Ballycuggaran and Moylussa. \nThere will be three routes to choose from for participants\, the 22km ‘Challenge’ route\, the 57km ‘Sport’ route and the 69km ‘Expert’ route. There’s a route to suit all levels of ability – by way of a guide for those new to the sport\, the level of fitness required to compete in the ‘Challenge’ is similar required to run a 10km race.

DESCRIPTION:The Muckers option is 1 lap of approx 5.5km and typically takes between 28 and 100 minutes to complete and in March 2020 will have over 50 obstacles per lap! \nThe Serious Muckers option is 2 laps (approx 11km) of the course and should take between 60 and 200 minutes to complete\nEach lap will take in many different obstacles and challenges. DESCRIPTION:Cleasathon 2020 \nCleasathon is a road race that take place yearly on Inis Oirr. Inis Oírr island is situated off the west coast of Ireland in Galway Bay. It is one of the group of islands known as The Aran Islands. It has an ancient history\, a vibrant Irish speaking population\, beautiful scenery and a tranquil pace of life. The island can be accessed\, all year-round\, by plane from Indreabhán\, Conamara\, by ferry from Ros an Mhíl\, Conamara or seasonly from Doolin\, Co.
