SUMMARY:Joe Duffy BMW Clontarf Half Marathon and 5 mile
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Joe Duffy BMW Clontarf half marathon and 5 mile. This is Ireland’s flattest half marathon and flattest 5 mile. The race is contained within an off road promenade and Bull Island giving it unique and relaxing appeal. \nBoth races are open to runners/ joggers and walkers. Don’t leave it too late to enter \nMEDALS: We will have a new medal for 2019. \nRun\, Jog or Walk (we have a dedicated walking section) but don’t miss out on the Ápres Marathon race of 2019. SUMMARY:The Beer Barrel Run
DESCRIPTION:The Lacken Beer Barrel Run will take place on 22nd June in the beautiful North Mayo coastal village of Kilcummin\, Lacken. Teams of eight must somehow carry a 72kg beer barrel along a (literally) breath-taking 8.5km coastal route. There’s one rule\, the barrel must not touch the ground! \nKilcummin is best known as the scene of the famous landing in 1798 of the French General Humbert as well as its vast golden strand\, rolling sand dunes and lush green fields\, located on the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way in Co. Mayo. Now the local community wants to make it synonymous with one of the most demanding adventure races in Ireland. \nIt is up to the competitors how they carry their barrel. Only stipulations are that the carrying device must not have wheels\, and your barrel must be secured to it. \nThis fundraising event – the first of its kind in Ireland – will take place on Saturday\, June 22 at 2pm\, supported by Marc Reilly\, partner of J. Streicher\, and will raise funds for Samaritans Ireland. Entry costs €100 for a team of 8. \nFor an entry form\, call Chairperson\, Lacken Enterprise Centre: Tony Robinson 087 9900757.

Forget 5k or 10k we want you to run \n 5 miles or 10 miles \nTaking place on Sunday 16th September 2018 \n11.00am \nat the T.P. Waters showrooms in Kildare Town \nChip timed by JustRuns Events \nPrizes \nMedals & TShirts for all participants \nThe T.P. Waters Ambition Run is kindly supported by SEAT \nwith all proceeds from the race going to our charity partner Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland (SBHI). \nWe have previously supported SBHI with endurance athlete Shane Finn and are delighted to be working with both again for this exciting event. \nAnd for those of you who are looking for some inspiration look no further than Shane Finn. 26 year old Shane has travelled extensively completing Iron Man triathlons and marathons and only recently ran 24 back to back marathons in 24 days around Ireland raising over €135\,000 for SBHI. Serious inspiration there! \nOur charity partner is Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland (SBHI). Spina bifida is a condition which affects about one in every 1000 children born per year in Ireland with Ireland having one of the highest incidences of spina bifida births in the world. Spina bifida is the most common neural tube defect (NTD) which causes incomplete development of the spinal cord in the womb. SBHI supports hundreds of individuals across Ireland as they seek to live fulfilled lives with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. \nIf you would like to support this amazing charity then sign up for the T.P.
