SUMMARY:Corofin Loops - 8k and 10 Mile
DESCRIPTION:After a COVID enforced break in 2020\, the annual Corofin Loops races are back this year! \nOnce again Corofin Athletic Club are offering two options\, an 8k race over a very flat course\, and a 10 mile race that is a little more challenging\, but nothing too steep or taxing! \nThe 10 mile race will start at 9am with the 8k starting at 9.30am. Please note the early start\, which has been chosen to take advantage of quiet roads at that time on a Sunday morning. The good news is that you should all be home well before lunchtime to enjoy the rest of your day (or soak your weary bones in a bath!!) \nRace entrants for both races are asked to assemble at the local Community Centre (Dr. Duggan Hall) 15 mins prior to the start of their chosen race. \nFirst\, second and third place prizes will be awarded for men and women in each race\, plus multiple age category winners. The top prizes in the 10 Mile race (men and women)\, are €200 cash plus a perpetual trophy\, with €150 cash plus a perpetual trophy for the 8k race. These are amongst the best prizes on offer for road racing in the west. \nIn compliance with Athletics Ireland Covid protocols\, only online registrations are permitted. Entry for the 8k race is €20 until 30th September (early bird rate) and €25 thereafter. Entry for the 10 mile race is €30 until 30th September (early bird race) and €35 thereafter. \nFurther details are available from our facebook page – Corofin AC or email Niamh on corofinrunners@hotmail.com \nNumbers for each race are limited to 200\, again in accordance with Athletic Ireland protocols. \nHope to see you there\, and good to be back. \nRegister Now CLICK HERE

SUMMARY:Rock Runners A.C. Virtual Run
DESCRIPTION:DATES – Friday 1 st May 2020 – Saturday 16 th May 2020\n2. ABOUT – Everybody just wants to help don’t they? In a difficult and sometimes distressing set of circumstances such as where we find ourselves at present with the coronavirus pandemic\, it’s important to remember we’re all in this together. With that in mind\, a group of eager runners from South West Fermanagh have decided to\, well\, er….. go running. And anyone else who’d like to join with us. Sure it’ll look a bit different with the lockdown restrictions. Running will be virtual and in isolation. But between the above dates\, the Rock Runners from Derrylin are inviting runners of all abilities to run whatever\nyou can and for an extra bit of fun you can take a video of yourself and send it to our Facebook Page. Suggested distances are between 3 and 6 miles but you can run less or more as you see fit. So hands up who’s ready for a bit of virtual running action….. \n\n3. THE CAUSE – Marie Curie is a well known and respected organisation working in the local community (and all across the UK). They provide care and\nsupport for around 2\,500 people living with a terminal illness in Northern Ireland each year. Of course at this present time their workload gets no smaller and indeed bigger in many ways with their services also being called upon by local nursing homes where necessary. In these extraordinary times\, Marie Curie has launched an ‘emergency appeal’ as per the link below and all proceeds from our fundraising run will go towards this appeal so that people’s lives can continue to be valued in the local area\nhttps://www.mariecurie.org.uk/donate\nUpon registering through a portal set up by njuko you will receive your confirmation details and these will also be emailed to your given address. An option to donate your agreed amount will be available or you can leave it until after you have completed your challenge \n4. Club facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/rockrunnersderrylin/

SUMMARY:SPANISH POINT 5 Mile (Run Clare race2)
DESCRIPTION:**All venues to be confirmed**  \nA HUGE THANK YOU to absolutely everyone who has taken part in run Clare 2019! You were all amazing! \nEveryone on the Run Clare committee is dedicated to running; we all love it! We have all been involved in the sport one way or another for most of our lives. We live it and breathe it. One sunny day  in 2014 we had the brain wave of encouraging everyone to share our passion for the sport and created our amazing series. \nWe have listened to feedback and decided to make a couple of changes to keep the series fresh and exciting! We are delighted to announce that we will be moving locations to new areas of the Banner County… \nThe 5k will be in Lisdoonvarna\, it’ll be a great way to start the journey around the country lanes. The 5 mile will take us to Spanish Point\, where the route will take close to the Atlantic\, then to Ennis for the Eamon Moloney 10k\, where the urban location is known for its family atmosphere and fast\, flat route. Finally we are heading to East Clare for the 10 mile. \nFinishers prizes to be announced in the coming weeks! Tech tops for the first 400 entries in the 10k. \nWe all start together but we may not all finish together\,  what matters is that we all have achieved something incredible as an individual. \nWhere else would you get 4 races over 4 months with all the trimmings you know we do?? In 2019 we had over a 1000 runners from 24 counties sign up for the series\, lets get the whole of Ireland coming to Clare and prove that the Banner know about races! \n4 races. 4 months. 1 goal. \nhttps://eventgen.ie/run-clare—the-5-to-10-challenge-2020 \n  \n5 mile only link is https://eventgen.ie/run-clare—5-mile-2020
