SUMMARY:Resolution Run Galway 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Resolution Run 2023 is a fast and flat 5K road race that takes place New Years Day 1st January 2022\, at 10.30  in Galway City Centre. The course routes through the City Centre\, from the Claddagh\, passing Wolfe Tone Bridge \, Merchants Road and the Docks\, and routing back out to Grattan Road and the Prom before a fast finish along South park into the finish at Nimmos Pier. The route passes most of the city’s famous landmarks along the way. The race is AAI certified and there is a superb souvenir gift for all entrants\, Race HQ is Claddagh Hall at South Park\, Galway and race start is beside the park. \nThe route is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities. It is a very flat and fast course\nPlease note that there will be no changing facilities or showers available. Roads will not be closed for the event\,however there will be either marshals or Guards at all junctions to ensure your safety!. \nPlease note prior to entry  that Over 16s only can enter and that the course will be marshalled for 50 minutes\,and that these entry conditions are necessary for safety and logistics reasons . \n  \nFacebook Page CLICK HERE

Set up in 2001\, we are based in Dundalk and operate across 4 counties in the Northeast. DESCRIPTION:All revenue raised from this event will go directly to the Maria Goretti Children’s Respite and Rehab Care Adult Services in Dundalk. \n  \nThe 10th annual Fitzers 5K Fun Run and Walk takes place once more on Saturday February 25th at 11am from the Marshes SC\, Dundalk\, Co Louth. This is the tenth renewal of the event that was inaugurated by Deputy Peter Fitzpatrick as a means of helping local organisations providing vital services. \n  \nThe beneficiaries this year will be Maria Goretti Children’s Respite and RehabCare Adult Services. \n  \nThe Maria Goretti Foundation is a registered charity and is committed to the support of children with disabilities. The centre at Lordship\, Co. Louth is currently a purpose built six bed-roomed facility that operates under the auspices of the HSE and is currently managed by Rehab Care. \n  \nThe Maria Goretti Children’s Respite provides residential respite to 80 families who have children with Autism\, Learning Disability\, or a Physical Disability between the ages of 6-18. This event has been so successful for the past 15 years that it has inspired many other communities to stage similar events. ‘Lá an 10K’ is a major social event for Inis Meáin\, that sees the return of many familiar faces year after year.\n \nColáiste Naomh Eoin\, the Island’s secondary school\, is one of Ireland’s most successful small schools and this event is key to ensuring that the school continues to thrive thus ensuring the viability of this Atlantic gem. The course is exceptionally scenic with a choice between a 5km or 10km road race or a more difficult 12km route which includes a spectacular beach run along Ceann Gainimh.
