SUMMARY:Galway Resolution Run
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Resolution Run 2020 is a fast and flat 5K road race that takes place New Years Day 1st January 2020\, at 11.00 in Galway City Centre. The course routes through the City Centre\, from the Claddagh\, passing Wolfe Tone Bridge \, Merchants Road and the Docks\, and routing back out to Grattan Road and the Prom before a fast finish along South park into the finish at Nimmos Pier. The route passes most of the city’s famous landmarks along the way. The race is AAI certified and there is a superb souvenir gift for all entrants\, Race HQ is Claddagh Hall at South Park\, Galway and race start is beside the park. \nEvent Details and Schedule\nThe race starts promptly at 11am at South Park. Race number pick-up is in the Claddagh Hall located right by the start line between 9.30am and 10.45am on the morning of the race. Some entries allowed on the day however the race is limited to 400 entries. All entrants will receive a souvenir gift\, refreshments after and an official chip time . \nThe race is AAI certified and has been officially measured . All participants will have an official timed by Red Tag Timing. Individual results will be sent out via text and all results will be available on Facebook and www.redtagtiming.com shortly after the race finish. \nThe route is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities. It is a very flat and fast course  Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Male and Female Senior \, V40\, and V50 \nThere will be teas\, coffees and snacks available for all participants in The Claddagh Hall after the race. Presentation of prizes will take place at 12.15 pm. \nPlease note that there will be no changing facilities or showers available. Roads will not be closed for the event\, however there will be either marshals or Guards at all junctions to ensure your safety!. \nPlease note prior to entry that the race is aimed at runners\, that Over 16s only can enter and that the course will be marshalled for 45 minutes ( 11 am to 11.45 am)   \, and that these entry conditions are necessary for safety and logistics reasons .

DESCRIPTION:The annual Ardagh 10 Mile Challenge takes place on a scenic\, point-to-point course during the peak of Winter.  The first two miles of the course brings you on the scenic route around the village before you head up over the mountain\, the last half mile has you once again running through the historic and award winning village of Ardagh to finish at the village green. \n  \nEvent Details and Schedule \nOur annual 10 Mile Challenge Run takes place on Saturday 28th of December in Ardagh. \n  \nChip Timing \nAll entrants in both the 10 Mile Challenge and the 5K Fun Run will be chip timed.  Results will be available online on our Facebook Page shortly after completion of the race. \n  \nMedal \nEvery entrant on completion of the 10 Mile Challenge and 5km chipped race will receive a specially commissioned medal. \n  \nPrizes \nFor the 10 mile Challenge \nPrize money this year for the first three ladies AND the first three gentlemen over the finish line. \n1st  €100\, 2nd €75 and 3rd €50 \n  \nTrophies for the first Man and Woman in the 10 mile \nO/40\,  0/50 and  O60 \n  \n10 mile Course Record Bonus €100 \n1st Man to break 55 minutes \n1st Woman to break 60 minutes \n  \nFor the 5k Run \nTrophies for the first three ladies and gentlemen over the finish line. \nTrophies for the first three boys and girls under 16 on the day of the race over the finish line. \n  \nThis event raises funds for Ardagh Moydow Glen Community Games.  All money raised goes towards providing community games activities for Children in our Parish. \n10 Mile Registration online up to and including 23rd December will be €20*. Make a night or a weekend of it and stay to sample our great village hospitality and craic over the Christmas period. \nWe will have commemorative technical T-shirts for the first 200 to register on the day!!….and incredibly tasty soup and sandwiches afterwards by a roaring fire along with medals for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd in all categories (Adult and Junior) \nRegistration: MONKS by the Pier in Ballyvaughan (Eircode H91 W9TN ) from 11.00-12.30pm sharp. DESCRIPTION:The 9th running of the Castleblayney SuperValue 5km road race. AAI certified and approved the course which is run on closed roads and is on the same fast course as the previous year. \nThe race will commence at 2pm sharp with registration online at €10 or on the day for €15. \nU14 2k Juvenile Race at 1pm for €5 entry on the day with all receiving finishers medals.\nThe race is chip timed and attracts a large field every year with plenty of potential for a PB. \nAll finishers will receive a medal with category prizes for male and female in a number of categories. \nRefreshments and presentation will take place afterwards in The Glencarn Hotel\, a short distance from the finish. Plenty of parking near registration and will be signposted on the day

The runners and walkers will then travelling past Wexford Park and before returning to the quay via Summerhill Road and Waterloo Road. \nThis route will provide a fun opportunity to appreciate some of the scenic sites of Wexford Town.
