DESCRIPTION:ST. Bernard’s FC is proud to host our inaugural 5k road race to help raise funds for the development of our club. This is also part of the clubs 50th anniversary celebrations. \n\nMany thanks to Keary Construction & Complete Concrete for their kind sponsorship.\n\nTaking place on 10th of April 2022.\nLocation is Abbeyknockmoy\, Co.Galway which is very accessible from the M17 motorway and is only 8 mins from junction 19.\nThis will be a nice flat course with a quick finish\, perfect for setting a PB. Our race will be AAI approved.\nThere will be 2 short 1k academy fun runs before the main event U6 to U8 & U9 to U12. DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome runners and walkers back to Ballinora for this special community event for all the family!\n\n\nA scenic country run just a stones throw from Cork City – a perfect warm up for all the summer runs this year – suitable for all runners and walkers – competitive or just for fun – it’s your choice! \nThe Karen Fenton Memorial Run is a 5km road race\, which is being organised and hosted by the Fenton Family\, in association with St Finbarr’s AC\, in memory of Karen Fenton\, who passed away from Ovarian Cancer\, on the 30th of April 2017\, aged 43. \nKids welcome to join for a fun walk/run. Or for those athletes amongst the kids they are most welcome to be chipped and timed. \nAny additional donations are welcome as we continue to fundraise for Ovarian Cancer treatment\, diagnosis and support services. \nTeams are encouraged. DESCRIPTION:Kilmovee 10K was established in 2010 and has been run & has grown each year since known as the ‘friendliest & flattest race in the West’ our reputation for our pre & post-race hospitality\, and the scenery is what has helped us grow over and is what brings competitors back and new faces each year. \nThe race is run in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA\, \nSince its launch\, we have raised over €80\,000 for the Hospice Foundation\, Thank You! \nEach year we also run a free secondary competition called the Micheal McDonnell Memorial Sheild for teachers and students to represent their school\, college\, or university. \n \nLast year due to Covid 19 we as many races had to cancel\, but instead of wandering the course in despair\, missing our running\, jogging\, and walking friends we launched our Face Mask Appeal with an aim to purchase 10\,000 (10k) face masks for frontline workers\, including staff at Mayo Roscommon Hospice\, Local Nursing Homes\, Mayo Civil Defense and Local Gardai – we finally delivered over 13\,000 with your help. \nThis Year we are back to a real event with the option of a Virtual for our friends near and far or those isolated for the Kilmovee 10k Family we ask you all to join us to make the comeback bigger and better. \nWe hope this opportunity will allow our friends from all over the world to participate in our event – and help us grow and continue the fantastic work our volunteers do each year (but give them a day off\, well most of them). \nWhy not register and join us virtually in 2022 – then come (hopefully) to Kilmovee\, Mayo in 2023 to sample our hospitality first hand. \nFor more information on past & future events please check out our website www.kilmovee10k.com and our facebook page fb.me/kilmovee10k \nFurther information about Mayo Roscommon Hospice can be found on www.hospice.ie \nEmail: kilmovee10k@gmail.com\nWebsite: kilmovee10k.com \nRegister Now CLICK HERE
