SUMMARY:Run Galway Bay 10k Half & Full Marathon
DESCRIPTION:10K – €35\n(€5 of your entry fee goes to Cancer Care West) \nHalf Marathon – €45\n(€5 of your entry fee goes to Cancer Care West) \nFull Marathon – €50\n(€5 of your entry fee goes to Cancer Care West) \nRegister as a team and you get 10% off each individual entry. \nThe only stipulation is that you must have 4 members in your team before race day. Set your team up now so that you get the 10% off. \n6 Reasons why you and your friends should do this…\n1. It’s Fabulous\nRun or walk this amazing 10K or Half Marathon route which takes in the longest seaside promenade in Europe. The scenery is breathtaking with spectacular views of the Clare mountains across Galway Bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean. Come for the weekend – there is too much to see and do in just a day! \n2. It’s Famous\nThe race starts and finishes alongside the famous Claddagh Quay on the edge of Galway City. It was formerly a fishing village\, just outside the old city walls and is also the home of the world famous Claddagh ring. So if romance is in the air this is the place for you. \n3. It’s Fun\nIf you are visiting for the weekend you’ll get to enjoy the best of both worlds as the quaint Medieval City and the vast Seaside resort of Salthill sit side by side offering a host of pubs\, restaurants and plenty to do for all ages. \nPerfect to do with family and friends! \n4. It’s Flat\nThe course is great for new runners who want to avoid hills and it’s even better for fast runners who are looking for a personal best!. Starting at the Claddagh\, participants run along the closed road through the heart of Salthill and return on the promenade and the newly surfaced area beyond Blackrock. \n5. It’s Friendly\nBrought to you by the founders of RunIreland.com \n6. It’s Charitable\nThe event is not run by a charity but has a long legacy of helping to raise funds for many local and national charities. Cancer Care West is our charity of choice and €5 from every entry is donated directly to this very worthy cause. It’s up to you if you want to run for fun or for a cause of your own choice – we encourage that!
