DESCRIPTION:  \nThe RESCHEDULED Fr Micheal Mannion Annual 10K Road Race will begin in Clonbur Co Galway and follow the road towards Cong before looping back into Clonbur in a clockwise direction.The course consists of medium climbs.It will be  timed with water stops on route. Course will be marshaled and the event is supported by the local branch of The Irish Red Cross and Gardai with refreshments at the end of the race. Ample parking available. \nFirst Male and Female home will be presented with The Fr Micheal Mannion Memorial Cup. \nPrizes for 1st\,2nd\,3rd Male & Female. Also prizes for Over 60’s and under 16’s. \nAll participants will receive a T-Shirt on the day. \nFor those not wishing to run the 10K  there will be the option of a fun run/walk 5/6K on the day. \nClonbur has wonderful woodland amenities and a walk will be available there for those looking for something more leisurely on the day. \nRegistration on the day only from 10am in Clonbur Community Centre.  \nEntry fee for 10K race €20 \n Under 16’s Free. \nSpecial Guest on the day The Liam McCarthy Cup \nVoluntary Donation for fun run/walk. \nAll proceeds from the event go to the local Zambia Housing project of which Fr Micheal Mannion was an active member. This group has been aiding vulnerable street children and families in Kitwe Zambia for over 10 years. \n

SUMMARY:The School Run
DESCRIPTION:The 2018 School Run formerly the Castlecomer Credit Union 10k will take place on Sunday 15th April. All proceed for the day go to the Presentation Convent National School in Castlecomer. \nBoth the 10k & 5k start at 10.30am. The Castlecomer 10k is two loops of 5k with 85% of it off road on beautiful trails. The 5k is one loop. The routes are the same as 2016. It starts on the Dublin Road just at the church and goes out the Dublin road past Ormonde Brick and then into the woods so the first 1k is slightly uphill. After approximately 1.5km there is a good downhill stretch which lasts for 1 kilometre. \nThe only other uphill of note is when running towards the elf village area but that is short. The finish line is close to the car park and main Discovery Park entrance. The beautiful setting of the Estate Yard is where our renowned post-race refreshments await. Chip Timing is being used for both 5k and 10k events.\nOnline registration is available up to 9pm on 13th April.

DESCRIPTION:In 2018 Wexford Triathlon Club celebrates its 10th birthday! Come and help us celebrate at the annual Rosslare 10K road race which takes place every year on Easter Monday\, which is 2nd April in 2018. \nLast year the feeback from all participants and spectators alike was that it was a fantastic event. Whether you’re here to win overall or one of our category prizes\, after a 10K PB or just happy to run\, jog\, walk or crawl the course\, all are welcome at the Rosslare 10K. Bring the family and enjoy the unique party atmosphere to finish off Easter weekend at Rosslare Strand! \nHeld in scenic Rosslare Strand\, the Rosslare 10K is a two loop race on a fast course. The race is chip timed\, fully marshalled with water stations provided and refreshments for all athletes after the race. \nThe first 250 entrants will receive Quality Technical tshirts\, which went down a treat last year as is evidenced by the number of them being worn daily around the county! \nThere is a generous prize purse for winning athletes. \nRace participants must be over 18 due to insurance restrictions\, however families are more than welcome to support and encourage! \nThanks to Kelly’s Resort Hotel and Spa for their very generous support of this event. \nPre-registration is €15 and includes a t-shirt for the first 250\, registration on the day subject to availability at a cost of €20.

DESCRIPTION:Event Details for the Carney Lissadell 10K \nABOUT THE EVENT: This\, the 14th annual Carney Lissadell 10K Road Race\, will take place on Easter Monday\, April 2nd 2018. It is one of the most popular 10k events of the year\, with over 350 participants last year alone. The event includes a 10k Road Race\, a 10k Walk\, and kids fun races beforehand. All registrations will be in the Oxfield Community Centre. The event is AAI licenced. There will be the usual generous prize fund for a large number of categories and post-race refreshments in Oxfield for all participants. This year we delighted to confirm that Sligo based Core Timing will be providing chip timing services.  As usual the event raises much needed funds for some very worthy local community organisations\, namely the 11th Sligo Benbulben Scouts and the Oxfield Community Centre. \nREGISTRATIONS: Online: €15\, see www.runireland.com. On The Day: €18. Oxfield is located on the Oxfield Road just off the N15 Sligo/Derry Road. The junction is approx 8km north of Sligo\, and 1.5km north of Drumcliffe Village. The turn is beside ‘Ben’s Topline Hardware’ and is signed as Oxfield Road L3402.
