DESCRIPTION:Castle Triathlon Series the organisers of Lough Cutra Castle Triathlon have added both a new Half Marathon and 10k race to its festival of triathlon and multisport on Sunday\, May 27th in Galway. \nThese new events will give runners of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy the incredible off-road course on the castle grounds which have previously only been open to triathletes. \nThe off-road Half Marathon & 10k in Galway will take place in and around the fabulous estate at Lough Cutra Castle finishing in front of the privately owned Castle on the shores of the Lough. \nCastle Triathlon Series are offering a 15% discount on race entry until March 26th 2018. \nThe off-road half marathon & 10k form part of the 2018 two day festival of triathlon and multisport with a variety of triathlon races and swim only events to choose from over the weekend. It consists of both a 10km and Half Marathon which are available to both walk & run. \nThe Bay Run is a charitable event with all proceeds (after costs) in aid of the Bantry Hospice. It has raised over €13\,000 in the last 3 years and plans to raise even more this year.

The course is measured and marked\, and Chip timed. \nThis year all funds are in aid of Loughglynn Community Centre. \nLast year we had a record attendance\, and we hope 2018 is going to be even bigger and better! DESCRIPTION:  \nThe RESCHEDULED Fr Micheal Mannion Annual 10K Road Race will begin in Clonbur Co Galway and follow the road towards Cong before looping back into Clonbur in a clockwise direction.The course consists of medium climbs.It will be  timed with water stops on route. Course will be marshaled and the event is supported by the local branch of The Irish Red Cross and Gardai with refreshments at the end of the race. Ample parking available. \nFirst Male and Female home will be presented with The Fr Micheal Mannion Memorial Cup. \nPrizes for 1st\,2nd\,3rd Male & Female. Also prizes for Over 60’s and under 16’s. \nAll participants will receive a T-Shirt on the day. \nFor those not wishing to run the 10K  there will be the option of a fun run/walk 5/6K on the day. \nClonbur has wonderful woodland amenities and a walk will be available there for those looking for something more leisurely on the day. \nRegistration on the day only from 10am in Clonbur Community Centre.  \nEntry fee for 10K race €20 \n Under 16’s Free. \nSpecial Guest on the day The Liam McCarthy Cup \nVoluntary Donation for fun run/walk. \nAll proceeds from the event go to the local Zambia Housing project of which Fr Micheal Mannion was an active member. SUMMARY:IT Sligo Healthy Campus 10km run
DESCRIPTION:The IT Sligo Healthy Campus 10km run/walk in association with Family Carers Ireland will take place at 7.00 pm on 19th April 2018. The run/walk is along the scenic route from Ballincar to Rosses Point and all proceeds raised are to support the Sligo branch of Family Carers Ireland. \nThe event fee is €10 for online registration or €15 for on the day registration. Registration and number pick-up from 6.00 pm on 19th April 2018 at Sligo Yacht Club\, Rosses Point\, Co. Sligo. The event will be chipped timed. \nThere is an option to do a 5km walk\, 5km run or a 10km run. \nThe route is a loop and starts at The Golf Club in Rosses point. Walkers and runners will pass through Rosses Point village. 5 km walkers/runners will turn at the 2.5 km marker and return to the finish line at Sligo Yacht Club. 10 km runners will turn a short distance after the Radisson Hotel and return to the finish line at Sligo Yacht Club. \nWater stations will be available at the two turning points.
