SUMMARY:Coney Island Challenge 2018
DESCRIPTION:The Coney Island Challenge will take place again this year on Sunday 21 October. Start time will be 11am from Sligo Rugby Club\, Strandhill. \nAll who register and pay on-line (€20) will be be timed via chip and pin with an official race number and the first 300 registered will receive a special commemorative T-shirt. \nRegistration will also take place on Saturday 20th October in The Rugby Club from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and again on Sunday 21st October from 9.30am to 10.30am \nBy registering for the race you agree to abide by the highway code and act in cooperation with the organisers and marshals to ensure your safety on the day. It is recommended that any potential participant not currently involved in physical sporting activity\, should have undertaken a medical examination before taking part in the event. \nI understand that participating in this event is physically demanding\, and that I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. SUMMARY:Rosemount Half Marathon And 10KM
DESCRIPTION:Located in the heart of the midlands\, Rosemount is a little village near Moate in Co. Westmeath. This year the club will host their first ever half marathon and 10KM event. The race is registered with the AAI and incorporates the famous Athlone to Mullingar greenway. \nThere is an event t-shirt and medal for every participant as well as some great sponsors who will be involved on the day. There will be pacers for a number of predetermined times and the organising committee have advised the route is excellent for anyone taking on the Dublin city marathon two weeks later.

DESCRIPTION:Ox Mountain Challenge Run 2018 \n  \nThe 2nd Annual Ox Mountain Challenge is a10 mile Road Race / Mountain Run with a half way split. It is a Community Run that will take place on Saturday October 6th at 1.00 p.m.  \n  \nSkreen / Dromard Community Centre will be the base for the Run where registration\, briefing\, parking and changing facilities will be available .The Community Centre is located on the main Sligo- Ballina Road (N59) approx. 6 miles from Ballisadare. Runners can pick up their Race Tags etc on Friday 6th from 7pm – 10pm & and on the morning of the run from 10am – 12am.  Late registration will be available during both time slots. \nTo accommodate fitness of all levels a team relay of 4 X 2.5 mile race will be available along with a 4 mile run / walk .This run will be a smaller loop of the 10 mile run but will have the same start and finish. As this is a new run on the athletic Club Calendar early entry is advisable. Online registration is through Core Timing and will close one week before race day. DESCRIPTION:Entry Fee: €25 for both distances\, Children go free \nIf you would prefer to wait until the day to register your participation\, the registration desk will be open from 8am on Sunday\, 30th September 2018 on the corner of Furze Rd and Chesterfield Ave in the Phoenix Park. The race will begin at 10am and follow the Operation Transformation route. \nThere will be no road access between the Phoenix monument and Mount Joy Cross on Chesterfield avenue until after the event\, after which normal access will resume. \nRace Pack: At registration on the morning\, you will receive your race number\, which has your chip timer attached to it\, as well as a Pigsback Tech T-shirt. \nParking : There is parking along Chesterfield Avenue as far as the Phoenix Monument\, however\, we advise that you consider public transport options. \nThere will be limited wheelchair parking spaces on site so if you wish to avail of one of these please contact the office before the day\, you will need to display your disability pass. \nLocker Facilities:  There won’t be lockers available but we will be a bag drop area during the run \nWater Stations:  There will be water stations around the course

DESCRIPTION:Taking place close to Butlersbridge\, Co Cavan\, the event is organised by Derryheen Parish Church in aid of its Restoration Fund and St Christopher’s Hospice\, Cavan. The event is now in its 5th year. \nNEW:  20K event starting at 11AM.  Suitable for those training for marathon.\n10K and 5K starting at 12 noon\, suitable for walkers and runners.  Registration from 10.45AM. \nThere are 2 substantial hills in the 10k event in the final 5k. The 1st 5k is flat.  There are 3 water stations on the 10K route at 3\, 5.9 and 7.4KM.  There are 1 KM markers so contestants can keep track of their progress.  Entry fees are €10 per adult and €20 per family.  There is a clock at the finish line. \nThere is beautiful countryside on quiet roads on a loop of Lough Inchin on the boundaries of Farnham Estate. The event begins and ends at Derryheen Church. \nRegistration is at the event from 10.45AM. \nThere are prizes for 1st man and 1st woman and 1st U16 boy and 1st U16 girl in the 10K.  There are prizes for the 1st man and woman in the 5K.   \nThe event is specially renowned for its refreshments afterwards.
