Kilkenny Ireland. Each year the club holds Tullaroan Marathon which comprises of an Ultra Marathon 39.3miles(63.24K) 7am stat time\, Full Marathon 26.2 miles (42.2K) 9:30 am start time  \, Half Marathon 13.1 miles (21.1K) 11am start time \, 10k 10:30 am start time and 5k 11:15am start time. The course is 13.1 miles\, so one loop for the half marathon two for the full and three for the ultra. The 10k runs on part of the same course leaving it at 5.5k mark and re-joining it at the 8k\, with all finishers coming together for the last 2k to the finish line where you will be greeted by our Race Director who will be there for the first to last finisher. With light refreshments served after you finish to make a great weekend for all running\, walking and rolling.  Tullaroan is full of rolling hills and delightful declines surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the countryside. With onsite parking and camping and shower facilities you can make a weekend of it arriving Friday evening and pitching you tent or campervan. We are renowned for our friendly and helpful race officials who will greet you with a smile and welcome you to our village. With participants from America\, UK\, Holland\, Belgium\, France\, Norway\, South Africa to name a few along with participants from all corners of Ireland. Starting in Ballyheigue village you will make your way along country roads and lanes by the Shannon Estuary. The route then loops back to Tralee Bay with stunning views of Mount Brandon and Banna Strand to its finish at the gates of historic Ballyheigue Castle. DESCRIPTION:On the 24 July 2022 @ 10.00 we will be holding our second 10km event of the Summer Series in the historical grounds of Malahide Castle\, Malahide\, Co Dublin.  The 10km route will consist of path\, trail and grass.  This will be our 7th year holding the 10km run in the Castle demesne which has proved hugely popular year on year. \nSo bring the family for support and after the race take full advantage of the parks\, go for a picnic\, grab a coffee or take a stroll around these wonderfully maintained amenities. \nHow Much?\nEntry for 2022 online is €24 plus admin fee.  For the 10km events we have a special deal of €42 plus admin fee. \nOur other event is St Annes Park 5km & 10k on Sat 28th May 2022 @ 18.30.  The 2 race deal includes one Tech Tee-shirt only. \nEntry on the day is to be confirmed.  Our events are limited to 500 participants and we carry full event insurance. \nEntry Fee Includes \nFree Technical Race Tee-shirt\, water station at 5km point\, chip timing\, bib number\, treats and refreshments at the finish line. \nRace Number and Tee Shirt collection will happen at registration on the morning o the event.  We will be open from 08.15 until 09.45.  We will be located next to the helipad\, beside the castle\, beside the avoca car park.  This will also be the start and finish area. \nThe Course will have KM markings throughout\, it will be very well marshalled as always in addition to finish line gantry and race clock. \nResults will be emailed to all competitors\, posted on this website and announced on our social media outlets. \nGet in touch with us if you have any queries or if you are interested in sponsorship\, promotion or marshalling \nRegister Now CLICK HERE

SUMMARY:PORTUMNA GAA CLUB FOREST PARK 5km/10km RUN/WALK
DESCRIPTION:PORTUMNA GAA CLUB FOREST PARK 5km/10km RUN/WALK SUNDAY 31st JULY 2022: \nPortumna GAA Club are once again hosting 5km and 10km run/walks around the beautiful Portumna Forest Park at 12 noon on Sunday 31st July.  This is our third year and with 200+ runners and walkers in 2019 we are going strong!  Had a 2-year break due to covid but are back now better than ever. \nThe 5km is on forest roads and will accommodate dedicated runners but is also suitable for walkers/families/buggies.  The 10km will take you deep into the forest and is a proper 10km race on mainly single-track trails in the trees\, broken up by stretches of forest road ideal for passing. \nThe routes will be on separate circuits around the forest\, both well signed and marshalled. Km markers and water will be in place around the courses. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nFrequently Asked Questions\nWhat time are the races happening at? \nThe start time is 10am\, we will be updating start times for all distances nearer the time. \nWhere is the race start? \nThe race start is at St Francis Bridge (The ‘New Bridge’). \nWhere are the water stops? \nThe first water stop is at the first 3.25miles/5.5km and the next water stops are approximately every 3 miles. \nCan walkers participate in these events? \nYes\, walkers can participate in this event but there is a seven-hour cut off for the marathon. \nCan I register/sign up on the day? \nThe only way to guarantee your space in the race is to register online\, online registration is extremely likely to sell out this year. If the event sells out there will be no on the day registration and no ‘spaces’ will be held for anyone. \nAre there any pacers at the event? \nYes\, there will be pacers. They will be announced closer to the date on our Facebook Page. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Routes \nThe routes will take in some of the most historic sites in the city before winding out the country roads\, making its way back to Kilkenny to finish on The Parade in the heart of the city. The city will also play host to a 30k\, half marathon and 10k\, with all participants arriving back at The Parade on Saturday evening. \n\n\n\n\nRewards \nAll finishers will be rewarded with a bespoke medal and technical t-shirt to celebrate the battle victory! \n\n\n\n\nAfter Party \nAfter the marathon\, all participants will arrive back at The Parade that evening.\nRelax and take in the atmosphere of this historic city! \nThe Medieval Marathon after Party and prize presentations will be in the Left Bank on the Parade which is directly across from the Finish Line. \nRegister now CLICK HERE
