All to keep as many people as possible connected\, fit and sane in this period of unprecedented lockdown\, and to raise as much money as possible for their charity partner Macmillan Cancer Support. \nFollowing the success of their Easter Virtual Challenge\, the Castle Virtual Series will run three events\, across three weekends in April and May\, with three country themes to mirror their summer programme of European events. Whether you’re 8 or 88 there is a race for you. All competitors are welcome to race virtually with The Castle Series community from within the boundaries of your home and immediate surroundings. \nThe Virtual Series will celebrate the host countries of the Castle Triathlon Series events across France\, UK and Ireland. You can sign up to one\, two or all three events. \n\n\n\n\n\n 24th – 26th April Vive La France\n 8th – 10th May VE Day 75th Anniversary\n 22nd – 24th May  Luck of the Irish\n\nChoose from 7 different run/bike/run duathlon options and three running distances. We expect it will be popular!!\nEarly birds until Nov 30th \nThe race is located along the scenic settings of the Grand Canal and around the newly surfaced perimeter of Grange Castle business park. It has that country feel on the edge of the city. It is a flat course with long straight lines. The route has an elevation gain of 27m. DESCRIPTION:The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon\, an annual 10k charity road race\, occurs each June bank holiday weekend in Dublin and is the largest Women’s event of its kind in the world. \nIn 1983\, the inaugural event had 9\,000 women entering and the event reached a record attendance in 2014 with 41\,006 women taking part. The event has grown in popularity as women have taken more interest in their own health and fitness. A staggering 1.06 million women have entered the event over its 37 years. \nHundreds of charities are also big winners. The women decide themselves which charity they will support and many local causes gain vital funds from the event. The run is in aid of Ollie Burke\, a 43yr old electrician who fell from a height and suffered an Acquired Brain Injury and now requires 24hr care. Sligo. For this year we will only be running the 10k event. After much deliberation and close consultation with local authorities and Gardaí\, we feel this was the best decision for all concerned. Our primary concern is you\, our valued participant and we feel deeply saddened at having to reach this decision. \nWith the ever-changing circumstances and recent government decision deciding not to move to phase 4\, we feel that it would not be fair to you the participant to reduce your overall race day experience and place your safety at risk.\n\nHowever\, we do have some good news. We have decided to go virtual with the event. We hope you can enjoy this virtual experience with your fellow participants and take part in the fun.
