DESCRIPTION:The 18th Fields of Athenry 10km takes place on St. Stephen’s Day\, December 26th at 11am. Over the last number of years this has become one of the leading road races in the country\, and we aim to continue to improve the event. The race will be held on its traditional route\, finishing under the medieval arch in Athenry. Last year we had over 1100 finishers and two course records\, with men’s champion and Irish Olympian Mick Clohisey of Raheny Shamrock AC taking top honours in the men’s race for the seventh year in a row\, while Laura Shaughnessy took her second win in the race having also won in 2016. \n  \nEnter now HERE

The finish line will be on the grass verge opposite St Fintans Church. The race will begin at 11.00 sharp. \nOn completion of the race participants will jog/walk through Sutton cross to Suttonians R.F.C (approx 500 yards) where changing facilities and tea/coffee\, biscuits and full bar will be available. Following feedback from our 2019 event\, the 10k route in 2020 will be a single loop run. The course is an AAI measured route. \nAll proceeds of this event will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society\, and the Arklow Cancer Support\, two amazing charities helping us in the fight against cancer.

The course is two laps with just a 94 metre rise over the 10k beginning out the Old Dublin Rd\,heading out to Scarawalsh and back in the New Dublin Road. \nThis is the same course Slaney has held the Senior County Road Race on with some fast times. We will expect the event records to be broken in 2020. \nLifestyle Fitness\, is the race HQ\, and the finish is at Bolgers Hardware on the slip road\, close to Clearstream. \nThis year the race is limited to 400 entries\, so don’t wait too long to enter or you might miss out. DESCRIPTION:Midweek run/ walk \nSandymount is an ideal location being walking distance from the center of Dublin. And the course is laid out in long straight flat lines making it safer and more ‘racer’ friendly. \nThere are two distances to suit all levels of fitness. A 5km single lap or a 10km double lap. The course is a single loop starting and finishing beside Clanna Gael GAA club. Entries for the first year are limited to 1\,000 so don’t leave it too late to enter! This is an annual SELL OUT race.

DESCRIPTION:**This event has been cancelled due to COVID19 restrictions** \nInis Iron Meáin is the original Island road race which continues to impress runners year after year! This event has been so successful for the past 15 years that it has inspired many other communities to stage similar events. ‘Lá an 10K’ is a major social event for Inis Meáin\, that sees the return of many familiar faces year after year. \n  \nColáiste Naomh Eoin\, the Island’s secondary school\, is one of Ireland’s most successful small schools and this event is key to ensuring that the school continues to thrive thus ensuring the viability of this Atlantic gem. The course is exceptionally scenic with a choice between a 5km or 10km road race or a more difficult 12km route which includes a spectacular beach run along Ceann Gainimh. Our 5K category was added to cater for both novice and senior interests.
