DESCRIPTION:Enter online\, Entry on the day €5 extra \nWe would like to inform you of the North East Galway 10km race on Sunday 13th October at 12 noon in Moylough\, Co Galway. The event is being arranged by the Moylough 79 Soccer club. The race is open to all runners\, walkers. \nVenue \nThe race starts in the village of Moylough and finishes at the Moylough Sportsfield. There will be changing facilities available at the Sportsfield and at the local Community Centre.  \nThe route has been measured by Andy Talbot\, Athletics Ireland. \nEntry Details \nThe Registration Fee is €15.00 if you register online at www.runireland.com prior to the race contact 087 3665692. Race number pick up available in Moylough Community Centre on Sat 12th Oct 6pm to 7pm and again on Sun 13th from 10am \nRegistration on the Morning of the Race will be €20.00 in Moylough Community Centre from 10am \nPrizes \nFirst 80 registered will receive a Technical T-Shirt \nPrizes and Light Refreshments will be given at Moylough Sportsfield after the race. \nCash Prizes will be given for 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd Place\, Senior Man and 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd\, Senior Woman \nCash Prizes for Over 40 and Over 50 \nRace permitted by AAI and timed event \nRace Start is from the village of Moylough near Moylough Church. SUMMARY:COROFIN LOOPS 8k and 10 mile
DESCRIPTION:This year Corofin Athletics Club\, Co. Galway are offering two options for their annual road race\, the usual 8k race following the same route as recent years\, and a new 10 Mile route. The 8k route is very flat\, while the 10-mile route has some hills but nothing too steep or taxing! \nThe 10 Mile race will start at 9.00am\, with the 8k race starting at 9.30am. Race entrants for both races are asked to assemble at the local Community Centre (Dr Duggan Hall) 15 mins prior to the start of their chosen race. \nBoth race routes have been accurately measured and permitted by Athletics Ireland. Red Tag Timing will provide chip timing for both races. \nFirst\, second and third place prizes will be awarded for men and women in each race\, plus multiple age category winners. \nFacilities\nLimited changing facilities will be available at the Community Centre and (non-valuable) items such as tracksuit tops etc. can be left there. Toilet facilities will be available in the Community Centre and post-race refreshments will also be served there. Additional toilets will be available in adjacent facilities. Hydration stations will be provided on both routes. \nRegistration\nEntry for the 8k race is €15 online and €20 on the day. Entry for the 10 Mile race is €20 online and €25 on the day. Registration will be open on the Saturday evening (2nd) between 5pm to 7pm and on the morn of the race from 7.30am till 8.30am in the Community Centre where race packs will be available. \nRace Routes\nThe 10 Mile race starts in Corofin Village itself and continues east of the village\, crossing the Tuam-Athenry Road at the Palm Tree pub\, east in the general direction of Ballyglunin\, looping around at Garra\, continuing to Ballinstack\, crossing the Tuam-Athenry Road at the Gills pub and back to the finish line at the Community Centre in Corofin village. \n \nThe 8k race starts at An Dunan just west of Corofin Village. The race follows a loop around Cummer\, via St. Colman’s National School\, Pollinore\, Curry and Curryoughter. A left turn is taken at the crossroad for the last stretch back to the finish line at the Community Centre in Corofin village. \n \nDirections to Corofin\nThe village of Corofin is located south of Tuam. It is easily accessed from the N84 (Galway to Tuam) road\, previously called the N17\, or from the R347 (Athenry to Tuam) road. \nT-shirts for the first 200 registered.

The runners and walkers will then travelling past Wexford Park and before returning to the quay via Summerhill Road and Waterloo Road. \nThis route will provide a fun opportunity to appreciate some of the scenic sites of Wexford Town.

DESCRIPTION:The 18th Fields of Athenry 10km takes place on St. Stephen’s Day\, December 26th at 11am. Over the last number of years this has become one of the leading road races in the country\, and we aim to continue to improve the event. The race will be held on its traditional route\, finishing under the medieval arch in Athenry. Last year we had over 1100 finishers and two course records\, with men’s champion and Irish Olympian Mick Clohisey of Raheny Shamrock AC taking top honours in the men’s race for the seventh year in a row\, while Laura Shaughnessy took her second win in the race having also won in 2016. \n  \nEnter now HERE

The finish line will be on the grass verge opposite St Fintans Church. The course is an AAI measured route. \nAll proceeds of this event will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society\, and the Arklow Cancer Support\, two amazing charities helping us in the fight against cancer.
