DESCRIPTION:We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Whitegate on the shores of Lough Derg for our annual Dinny Ryan 10k after a 2 year break.\n\nOur event had increased in popularity over the years and it is named in honour of a successful local athlete\, Dinny Ryan\, who won many medals for cross country running in the 1950s. \nMay 2nd 2022 Event: \n10k Road Race and 5k Fun Run/Walk \nRegistration from 10.30am in the Whitegate GAA Clubhouse – race begins at 12pm. \nThe Dinny Ryan Perpetual Cup will be presented to the winner of the 10k and there will be cash prizes and trophies to be won. \nIt promises to be an enjoyable event. \naideen.burke94@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:This unique event in aid of Down Syndrome Galway takes place on beautiful Inishbofin Island\, situated on Connemara’s stunning Wild Atlantic Way. The island is steeped in history\, and is renowned for its traditional music and unspoilt sandy beaches.\nInishbofin Half Marathon & 10k will take place on Saturday 14th May 2022. Whether you’re a serious runner looking for a new challenge\, or a rookie looking to run\, jog or walk on quiet roads\, the route offers a mix of flat and inclined terrain\, meandering through fine scenery\, with spectacular views of the beautiful Connemara mountains. SUMMARY:Rith Beo 5k & 10k 2022
DESCRIPTION:The 10th edtion of the annual \nRith Beo 5k & 10k Race \nwill take place on Sunday 29th May at 11am \nThe race is starting and finishing in the grounds of the Gaelscoil Osraí \nThere will be a 10Km & 5Km chip timed race \nThere is also an option to enter a 5km Team race (mixed team of up to 4 with 3 to score) which will include virtual entries. \nA family non chipped 3Km event will be available on the day which is kindly sponsored by Tip Top Toes\, Market Yard Kilkenny. \nThere is also the option to run the race as a virtual race which can be run in the week leading up to the official race\, a link will be provided for times to be uploaded prior to the start of the actual event at 11am on the 29th May. \nAs always this race will be a very social event with music and food in the grounds of the school immediately afterwards.  The race is the main fundraiser for the school and the monies raised are used to enhance the lives of the pupils\, all support is greatly appreciated. \nFabulous Bespoke medal for all finishers.
