DESCRIPTION:The Belleek Woods\, Ballina 10km continues to grow every year and is a very popular 10K in the west. \nThose that have run the Dublin City Marathon love to come out and test their 10k times on this fast and scenic course. The last two miles are downhill and go through the wonderful woodlands of Belleek Forest Park.\nThe event takes place on Sunday\, December 1st at 12:00pm. Registration: Ballina Soccer Club.\nRace Start: Stone Archway (Besides Ballina Athletic Club) with the finish at Ballina Soccer Club.\nA perfect course to run a PB.\nChip Timed race.\nAAI Certified.\nEntry fee €15.00.\nBeanie cap for the first 150 entrants. \n \nCash prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd Male & Female.\, and 1st prize for both Male and Female in over 40\, 50 and 60 category.   Changing and shower facilities are available at the soccer club\, with refreshment served afterwards

SUMMARY:Fields of Athenry 10K
DESCRIPTION:The 18th Fields of Athenry 10km takes place on St. Stephen’s Day\, December 26th at 11am. Over the last number of years this has become one of the leading road races in the country\, and we aim to continue to improve the event. The race will be held on its traditional route\, finishing under the medieval arch in Athenry. Last year we had over 1100 finishers and two course records\, with men’s champion and Irish Olympian Mick Clohisey of Raheny Shamrock AC taking top honours in the men’s race for the seventh year in a row\, while Laura Shaughnessy took her second win in the race having also won in 2016. \n  \nEnter now HERE

DESCRIPTION:Celebrating the 20th year of this amazing event\, there is something for everyone in the Burren Charity Challenge set in the idyllic village of Ballyvaughan\, Co Clare. You can run or walk 5km or 10km\, you can cycle 40km or you can do both in our Duathalon all in aid of charity and to work off that Christmas pudding! Make a night or a weekend of it and stay to sample our great village hospitality and craic over the Christmas period. \nWe will have commemorative technical T-shirts for the first 200 to register on the day!!….and incredibly tasty soup and sandwiches afterwards by a roaring fire along with medals for 1st\, 2nd and 3rd in all categories (Adult and Junior) \nRegistration: MONKS by the Pier in Ballyvaughan (Eircode H91 W9TN ) from 11.00-12.30pm sharp. The finish line will be on the grass verge opposite St Fintans Church. The race will begin at 11.00 sharp. \nOn completion of the race participants will jog/walk through Sutton cross to Suttonians R.F.C (approx 500 yards) where changing facilities and tea/coffee\, biscuits and full bar will be available.
