SUMMARY:Sligo Coast to Coast 10 Mile 2023
DESCRIPTION:The annual Sligo Coast to Coast 10 mile run/walk will take place on Sunday September 24th 2023 \nWalkers Commence at 9.30am \nRunners Commence at 10.30am \nThe event is managed by Sligo Athletic Club. \n  \nThe event commences in Strandhill Village near Sligo Rugby Club and finishes on the prom in Rosses Point Village (this route is accurately measured and is open to all. The course is flat with very little in the way of an incline so suits all abilities. \nThe event is run on a ‘not for profit’ basis and the beneficiaries are the North West Hospice\, Focus Ireland and Sligo Athletic Club \n  \nEvent details and schedule; \nSligo Coast to Coast 10 mile run/walk. \nThis unique road race is a Point to Point event encapsulating some of the most beautiful sights along the Wild Atlantic Way coastline. \nBuilding on the success of previous years we guarantee all participants a fantastic route with Chip timing and Medal for all finishers\, plus a technical T-shirt to all entrants registered BEFORE 20.9.2023– limited stock available to those entering after that date- Get signed upearly to avoid disappointment. \nThis run is becoming one of Ireland’s most successful and fastest growing 10 mile road races. You will enjoy avery scenic route\, mainly flat\, perfect for those seeking a P.B. There will be fantastic encouragement from spectators and our dedicated team of marshals’ who will provide support along the course.\nCome join us and experience a true Sligo welcome from Sligo Athletic Club. There will be light refreshments provided after the race. \n  \nRegistration: Sligo Rugby Club: \nSaturday afternoon: 23.9.2023 – 4pm-7pm \nSunday morning:  24.9.2023 – 8.30am – 10am \n  \nBus transfers: there will be a limited number of bus seats available (free) to take participants from Rosses Point to The Rugby club in Strandhill on the morning of 24.9.2023 between 8am- 8.30am so car-pooling is encouraged where possible. \nBus Eireann provide a frequent service between Rosses Point and Strandhill – commencing on the hour\, every hour from 11.05 through to 19.05 so you could enjoy lunch in Rosses Point after the event. The bus will stop in Rosses Point when flagged down in a safe area. \nClick for schedule; https://www.buseireann.ie/inner.php?id=525 \nRegister Now CLICK HERE

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the most scenic and challenging 10 mile off-road runs anywhere! \nThe route takes you deep into rugged west Cork\, following a section of the world-renowned Sheep’s Head Way. \nThe mountainous route has an elevation gain of close to 500 metres\, following minor roadways\, laneways and mountain paths as it climbs to bring you along the top of the ridge of the Sheep’s Head Peninsula. \nThe Glanlough Loop route owes its name to the Glanlough Lake you descend and circle along the way\, you are surrounded by spectacular mountain\, coastal and sea views abound on all sides. \nBeginning and finishing at the Tin Pub in Ahakista\, walkers depart at 9.30am\, with runners starting two hours later at 11.30am. \nThere will be water stations on the route with light refreshments in the Tin Pub garden post-race. \n  \nRegister Now CLICK HERE \n
