DESCRIPTION:Distances: \n5k \n10k \n12k \nInis Iron Meáin is the original Island road race which continues to impress runners! This event has been so successful that it has inspired many other communities to stage similar events. ‘Lá an 10K’ is a major social event for Inis Meáin\, that sees the return of many familiar faces year after year.  \nInis Iron Meáin is cleverly designed\, affording participants a choice of 3 courses. All courses follow the same route for the most part. The 5K NOVICE COURSE winds along 5K of spectacular island scenery. The 10K or ‘CÚRSA CRUA’\, covers both sides of this beautiful island and the 12K or ‘CÚRSA FÍOR CHRUA’  follows the same route but at roughly the mid-way point\, there is a turn-off which takes in a sand dune and beach run. This route then joins up again with the road route after 2 kilometres. \nThe courses are very well marked and takes in a large part of the island\, with spectacular views and variation in terrain.
