DESCRIPTION:GLENDALOUGH LAP OF THE GAP\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA marathon through the scenic heart of County Wicklow starting in Glendalough and taking in the ‘Sally Gap’. Plenty of hills are repaid with plenty of scenery and a warm Wicklow welcome! \nCyclists have long known the allure of the ‘Lap of the Gap’ circuit taking you from the village of Laragh to the highland pass of Sallygap and back past Lough Tay (the ‘Guiness Lake’). A scenic route with plenty of ups and plenty of downs. From quiet country back lanes to the barren and dramatic heather landscapes once you pass the Glenmacnass Waterfall. Both our marathon and half-marathon adds a ‘tail’ to the traditional Lap of the Gap to allow you to start in the monastic village of Glendalough – one of Ireland’s most popular tourist destinations. \nWe hope you will get not just a race out of our event – but an experience for a lifetime. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note we have strict limits to how many runners we can allow on the roads of the National Park so we may sell out ahead of the day – best sign-up early to avoid disappointment! \nPRIZES \nThere will be prizes for top-3 men and women and the first finisher in each of the following categories: over-40\, over-50\, over-60\, over-70 and so on. \n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for the marathon or half-marathon \n

SUMMARY:River Moy Half Marathon 2023
DESCRIPTION:The course starts and finishes at the Ballina Rugby Club\, Creggs Rd\, Ballina\, Co.Mayo.\nWe’re expecting a brilliant atmosphere as family members\, friends and supporters will be able to see competitors throughout the course. \nThe half marathon route is relatively flat with a few challenging hills along the way. Most of the half marathon will be run on roads on either side of the banks of the River Moy. Just over one mile of the course will take participants through Belleek Woods. There is an excellent trail surface on this part of the scenic terrain\, which is used daily by local runners and walkers in hail\, rain or shine! \nEntry costs €40. If you register before the 12th of May your pack will be posted. This will include\, t-shirt and race number. You will be ready to go and will save you time and avoid collection queues. (overseas registrations will need to collect pack on the morning of race) \nThere will be a late entry fee on race day\, in order to encourage people to sign up online before race day.
