SUMMARY:60k in 60 Days Virtual Challenge
DESCRIPTION:LEAP into 2020 with this exciting 60 kms in 60-day personal challenge for The Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland. \nWe CARE for 20 families from all over Ireland every night\, and support them whilst their child is seriously ill in Crumlin Children’s Hospital\, Dublin 12. We provide a ‘home away from home’ on the grounds of the hospital\, keeping families close to their sick child and also to each other. It costs the Charity €60.00 per night to CARE for each family\, ensuring they have somewhere to feel safe and secure whilst dealing with their sick child. \nWe want you to LEAP into 2020 and help us to CARE for our families by signing up\, stepping out and challenging yourself to 60km in 60 days. From 1st January to 29th February\, you can walk\, run or cycle to complete your 60km\, showing your support and CARE for our families and their sick children. \nEach time you go out\, save your kilometres until you have hit your 60km target and send in the evidence to Irish Bling Hunters Facebook page or Irishblinghunters@gmail.com to claim your medal and completion certificate. \nRegister for the Challenge HERE

SUMMARY:Run with Ciara - Virtual Run
DESCRIPTION:This event is the first virtual run of its kind in Ireland where every participant can run for the county team of choice and as they run their miles are added to a live leader board via the running app and online\,  the county with the most miles wins. \n\n\nWhile Ciara is running the 1000km on the wild Atlantic way everybody taking part using the app can run anywhere they want and their miles are logged in support of Ciara ! \n\n\nAll funds for this event are going to the children’s grief centre\, the only one of its kind in Ireland.  Our goal is to recruit as many people as possible to to sign up for their county team and log the miles between 7th January and 28th February \nwww.runwithciara.com

DESCRIPTION:Get the New Year off to a healthy start and help two great charities in the process.\n\nCalling all runners\, joggers\, walkers and everyone in between.  On Sunday 26 January 2020\, The Charlie Curran Memorial Run takes place in Carlow town in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and Brain Tumour Ireland. \n  \nThis chip timed event is open to those serious about their running and everyone (of all running or walking abilities) who would like to get behind this worthwhile charity event. \n  \nStarting at Carlow Town Hurling Club\, Oak Park\, Carlow you can complete the 5 Mile route or the Kids Dash\, an event especially for younger runners (400 meters approx.). \n  \nThe run is being organised by Charlie Curran in memory of his dad Charlie Curran (Senior) who passed away at the age 52 having suffered a heart attack.  Charlie’s chosen charities will resonate with many who have availed of the services of either charity be it directly or indirectly. \nOur chosen charities both provide key services for people who require the help and support of both these charities. \nEvent Details \nRegistration online and on the day from 8:45(unless sold out in advance) in Carlow Town Hurling Club. 700 spaces available online. \nDate: Sunday 26 January 2020 \nLocation: Carlow Town Hurling Club (Carlow) \nRace start 5 Miler is 11.am \nPacers: 35min 40min 45min 50min 55min 60min \nDue to the volume of participants in this race\, we do recommend that you avail of the postage option for online registration. Through Brain Tumour Ireland (The Ronnie Fehily Foundation) we hope to create a place where people can come for information\, guidance and comfort. DESCRIPTION:Coldwood Annual 4 Mile Run 2020 \nColdwood National school will be holding their annual 4 mile run on the 26th of January 2020 in aid of development of the school. Ran in conjunction with Craughwell AC it promises to be another great event with the usual super hospitality post race! \nThe race will be chip timed the course has been measured and is AAI approved.
