DESCRIPTION:Quest Lough Derg is the latest addition to the Quest Adventure Series. Race around some of Ireland’s most iconic waterways\, kayak on majestic Lough Derg and run along the banks of the mighty Shannon. Cycle through country roads\, quaint villages and sprawling forests. \nFor the first time Quest will take place on the banks of Lough Derg on Saturday 14th September 2019. This exciting\, brand-new event will see participants start and finish their event in Ballina and run\, cycle and kayak their way around Lough Derg taking in locations like Tonn Toinne\, Garrykennedy\, Ballycuggaran and Moylussa. \nThere will be three routes to choose from for participants\, the 22km ‘Challenge’ route\, the 57km ‘Sport’ route and the 69km ‘Expert’ route. There’s a route to suit all levels of ability – by way of a guide for those new to the sport\, the level of fitness required to compete in the ‘Challenge’ is similar required to run a 10km race.

DESCRIPTION:5k Memorial Runway Run for charity on the runway used by Dara for ten years while based with Rescue117 at Waterford Airport. \nCome and enjoy a wonderful day! Appropriate for all running levels. The 5km course is flat\, fast and set at Waterford Airport and Waterford Airport Business Park. This course is quite flat with no significant change in elevation. Due to time restrictions walkers cannot be accommodated on the course. Strict cut off time of 45 mins tail runner will enforce this. Also due to the fact we will be running on the runway\, the course can not accommodate strollers or dogs and runners will not be allowed to bring any items with them airside.

SUMMARY:Derryheen Harvest Run
DESCRIPTION:Taking place close to Butlersbridge\, Co Cavan\, the event is organised by Derryheen Parish Church in aid of its Restoration Fund and St Christopher’s Hospice\, Cavan. The event is now in its 6th year.\n20K event starting at 11AM. Suitable for those training for marathon.\n10K and 5K starting at 12 noon\, suitable for walkers and runners. Registration from 10.45AM.\nThere are 2 substantial hills in the 10k event in the final 5k. The 1st 5k is flat. There are 3 water stations on the 10K route at 3\, 5.9 and 7.4KM. There are 1 KM markers so contestants can keep track of their progress. Entry fees are €15 per adult and €25 per family. There is a clock at the finish line. \nThere is beautiful countryside on quiet roads on a loop of Lough Inchin on the boundaries of Farnham Estate. The event begins and ends at Derryheen Church. \nRegistration is at the event from 10.45AM.\nThere are prizes for 1st man and 1st woman and 1st U16 boy and 1st U16 girl in the 10K. There are prizes for the 1st man and woman in the 5K and 20K.   \nThe event is specially renowned for its refreshments afterwards.

DESCRIPTION:Start Times: \n12pm – Half\, Full & 30K\n12:30pm – 10K \nKilkenny prepares for battle! \nKilkenny provides the historic backdrop for Ireland’s 4th Medieval Marathon. On September\, the 14th 2019\, participants will set off from St Francis Bridge (the new bridge) at 1pm. The routes will take in some of the most historic sites in the city before winding out the country roads\, making its way back to Kilkenny to finish on The Parade in the heart of the city. The city will also play host to a 30k\, half marathon and 10k\, with all participants arriving back at The Parade on Saturday evening. All finishers will be rewarded with a bespoke medal and technical t-shirt to celebrate the battle victory!

DESCRIPTION:In 2018 Kilmore Athletics Club lost a club legend after the passing of Toddy Moore. \nToddy served as Chairman of Leinster Athletics\, was an Honorary Life Vice President of Athletics Ireland\, Secretary of Kilmore AC for 42 years\, Secretary of Wexford Athletics and President of both Wexford Athletics and Kilmore AC. \nToddy was also an accomplished athlete winning multiple county and Leinster titles. So this year\, 2019\, we want to rename our annual 10k in honour of Toddy. The race will take place on Saturday September the 14th at 5:30pm\, our traditional date starting and finishing in Kilmore Village. 2 Mile Fun Run starts at 5pm. Our main sponsor will be ‘Saltees Fish’ who continue to support us. \nThis is our MAIN CLUB FUNDRAISER so all support is much appreciated. Please SHARE and help us to spread the word.
