DESCRIPTION:The next Achill Half Marathon & 10K\, RunIreland.com’s recently voted “Best Half Marathon” & “Most Scenic Route”   race takes place on Saturday 6th July 2019 and is organised by Achill Event Management in association with Achill Tourism\, the local tourist office on Achill Island\, Co. Mayo\, in the west of Ireland. \nThe event\, in its current format\, has been staged in Achill since 2007 and is approved by Athletics Ireland. \nThe Half Marathon race is the centrepiece to a full weekend of events and entertainment on Achill\, one of Ireland’s most popular holiday destinations. \nThe Achill Tourism website contains detailed listings of accommodation on Achill Island as well as listings of restaurants\, cafes\, bars and other places to eat in Achill. Their website also offers detailed maps and travel information on how to get to Achill and how to get around on the island.

Come enjoy 13.1 miles of the Premier county’s quaint countryside on Saturday July 6th at 11 am. \nThis race will start and finish in the shadow of the impressive Cahir Castle. Online entry incls: chip timing\, bespoke medal\, buff\, quality goody bag\, fresh berries\, physio & showers. \nPrize Money: \nSubstantial prize money for 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd male & female. The race is located on the outskirts of Roscommon Town\, commencing at 11.30 am. Following on from the success of previous years\, in particular 2018 with increased capacity saw yet another sell-out pre-race day! \nWe guarantee all participants a fantastic race day\, with a fast-flat scenic route\, perfect for those hoping to achieve a PB\, it also is ideal for runners new to the 10-mile distance and those wishing to simply enjoy a scenic flat race! Our race distance\, course and timing of race also fits nicely with marathon training. \nParticipants on the day can expect exceptional hospitality not only in terms of the post-event food (which is now legendary! and partly the reason for being voted in the top 5\, 10- mile road races in Ireland!
