SUMMARY:Winter Fun Run/Walk 10K & 5K
DESCRIPTION:Bree Youth Club will be holding their Annual Winter Fun Run/Walk on the 29th of December @ 1pm to raise money for the club. We have 2 distances this year\, participants can either enter the 10K or 5K. Cost of entry is €10 for Adults\, U16’s €5 and U6’s Free. \nRegistration will take place from 11:30am – 12:30pm before the event. On the day we will have prizes for participants and raffle prizes. \nAll money raised this year will go towards our club.

DESCRIPTION:The 5 km route is mostly flat or down hill to just after 4km before you climb into the village and towards the finish. (Please do not double back over the race route) \n· Place your race number in the container provide at the finish shoot. \nPrize Giving\n· Presentation of prizes will take place in the community centre at 2:45pm approximately. \n· Prizes will be \n5km – 1st/2nd/3rd Male and Female – Medal \n1st/2nd/3rd Male and Female U/16 – Medal

SUMMARY:Ardagh 10 Mile Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Ardagh 10 Mile Challenge takes place on a scenic\, point-to-point course during the peak of Winter. The first two miles of the course brings you on the scenic route around the village before you head up over the mountain\, the last half mile has you once again running through the historic and award winning village of Ardagh to finish at the village green. \nThe 10 mile start line is located at one corner of the village green. https://www.google.com/maps/@53.6670639\,-7.6940153\,3a\,75y\,90h\,90t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s-XWhw1Ji-FpVI_ZOt810ew!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 \nRace Route\nTravels up through the village past St Brigid’s church before turning around a traffic bollard at about 1 km and coming back through the village. The route then heads from the village towards the famous Ardagh Mountain (Don’t panic\, it’s only a small mountail) at about 2 mile. The climb lasts for about 1200m and is quite steep in parts so gauge your effort.
