DESCRIPTION:With over 40\,000 participants from around the world and at 2\,500m above sea level\, the Great Ethiopian Run is an annual 10-kilometre road running event which takes place in late November in Addis Ababa.\nThe run through the streets of Addis Ababa is like no other. You can walk\, run or jog (and of course sing and dance!)\, so despite the altitude and heat\, it really is an achievable challenge for everyone\, and an experience that you’ll never forget.

DESCRIPTION:SOUTH GALWAY AC hosts the 8th annual BDN 10k on Sun 18th Nov. \n**** UPDATE:   ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.  HOWEVER REGISTRATION WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE DAY FROM 10am to 12 IN THE COMMUNITY CENTRE. \n12.30:  Race starts at Ballinderreen village (5 mins walk from the community centre). \n  \n10.00-12.00:  Race Number pick up for online registration (€20)\, & Day Registrations (€23)\, at Ballinderreen Community Centre   (Car parking close by in the GAA pitch). \nBeanie Hats for the first 150 that register \nThe course is AAI certified measured\, CHIP TIMED\, & qualifies as a 2018 Galway county Championship event. \nPrizes for various categories. \n  \nWater station close to the 5k mark. Race finishes at community centre\, with refreshments and snacks. Toilets available at the community centre and GAA grounds. \n  \nJuvenile 1k:   \nA seperate childrens 1km race wlll take place on the day\, at the earlier time of 12.00. This is open to ages 8 to 16 years old. Registration for children on the day only\, so please arrive at 11.15 for 1k registration (€5). \n  \nOnline entry to 10k closes Sat 17th Nov @10am.

SUMMARY:Leenane 5 Mile Run | Jog | Walk
DESCRIPTION:Why not join the local run in aid of the upkeep of Leenane/Maam Red Cross ambulance! \nThe third Sunday in November\, November the 18th\, will see the tenth running of the Leenane 5 Mile. The event is open to all\, from elite runners to joggers and walkers. \nThe entry fee is 15 euro for an individual and 25 euro for a family. All monies raised go towards the upkeep of the Leenane/Maam Red Cross Ambulance. Registration is available through runireland.com\, via our website and limited registration will also be available on the day. Pick up your race number in the Community Centre\, Leenane\, from 12noon onwards. \nThe race starts at 2pm. Every participant receives a medal and there will be refreshments available in the Community Centre directly after the race. Get back early for some of the famous post-race cake! \nThere will be prizes for the first\, second and third male and female. The run starts at the Hotel in Leenane\, comes through the village and out the Westport Road\, turning right and around the beautiful townland of Glan\, then back into Leenane to finish in the village at the main car park. The surroundings are breathtaking as the route closely follows the shoreline of Killary Fjord. \nThe event is perfect for adventure racers and road runners who want to hold onto the fitness they have earned during the summer\, and 5 miles a very achievable distance if you are a first-timer.
