DESCRIPTION:The SPAR Cork Airport Runway 5K returns for 2018 on the 2nd November at 23:59. Runners will take on the 5K course on the runway at Cork Airport on the night of Friday\, November 2nd\, 2018. Participants are welcome to run\, jog or walk the distance.\n\nNiall MacCarthy\, Managing Director ay Cork Airport said “We are delighted to host our third runway run this year.  It is an extremely popular and truly unique event for people of all ages and fitness levels.  This year\, we are hoping to see at least 2\,500 people take to our runway at 23.59 on Friday 2nd November to complete the 5k run.  The event creates a brilliant atmosphere throughout the airport and creates a great sense of individual and team spirit amongst participants and our staff on the night.” \n​“Good health and wellbeing is a really important part of our daily lives and is something that we are very supportive of at Cork Airport.  I am looking forward to taking part along with the thousands of other fun and serious runners who use the event for a personal best or just an enjoyable 5k run.” He added.
