The Eamon Moloney 10K Memorial Run4Life

The Eamon Moloney 10 K memorial Run4Life race was set up in remembrance of a great man and running enthusiast who spent many years helping and coaching young athletes to reach their peak optimum performance. Eamon was very passionate about running and during his life he successful ran many marathons whilst generating funds for Cancer Research. We, his family feel that this event will be the ideal way to commemorate and celebrate his life. Taking place Easter Bank Holiday Saturday March 30th from Rice College Ennis at 11.00 am this 10k course is accurately measured and chip timed, AAI permit is also pending.

All proceeds from this event will go to Clare Cancer Support Centre in Kilnamona which is a local and very worthy charity which relies solely on funding from donations.
This event which is a race but will be open to all fitness levels and clubs to include runners, joggers & walkers. A very exclusive guest appearance will be made by the LEGEND that is Mr. Keith Whyte. Ranked no.1 in Europe and no.2 in the World, Keith who will guest start the race will have words of encouragement for all the athletes, joggers and walkers to get them in the mood 🙂

The early bird registration fee is €20.00 until January 1st 2013. Entry is €25.00 thereafter. Toilets and changing facilities available. Prizes given, Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided in the Community Centre after the race. Prizes will be offered for the first 3 men and 3 ladies across the line as well as a perpetual shield/cup for the winning men’s and ladies teams. There will also be "a lap in my shoes" event of approx 1k for cancer survivors and they’re families. This will start at 1030am, just before the main event!!

Also there is a specially designed medal for all finishers across the line.
