Appointment of National Event Coaches The Coaching and Development Committee of Athletics Ireland is seeking to appoint a number of part-time National Event Coaches. These coaches will assist the National Event Directors who have overall responsibility for the 5 event groups. National Event Coaches should have a minimum of level 2 or equivalent coaching qualifications plus an appropriate level of experience. Event coaches will play an integral role in the delivery of National Squads. They will also work in conjunction with Athletics Ireland Coaching and Development staff to ensure regional and local efforts are maximised.
National Event Coaches will also play a mentoring role to club coaches.
National Event Coaches will be appointed in the following categories
Event
100m/200m – 400m
Hurdles – Relays
800m/1500m – 5000m/3000msc/10000m
Marathon – Cross Country
Shot
Discus – Hammer
Javelin – Multi-Events
Walks
Pole Vault – High Jump
Long Jump
Triple jump
