West Cork Run has been setup with the objective of facilitating the development, promotion and staging of running events in the West Cork region. It is hoped this will help in the development of the sport for all ages and levels and promote tourism in the area.
The race will commence in the beautiful village of Glengarriff (An Gleann Garbh).
Pre-Race facilities will be provided in the car park area of petrol station which is adjacent to the race start point. All race participants will be provided with a bag to store their belongings during the race.
Each bag will be numbered with the participant’s race number, collected and transported to the finish line for collection.
For ease of collection, the bags will be stored in numeric sequential order at the finish line.
There will be a park and ride facility to the start line in Glengarriff for those participants who wish to leave their cars in Bantry. Similarly, there will be a shuttle bus from the finish line in Bantry back to Glengarriff for those participants who parked their cars or live in Glengarriff.
