The "Hell of the West" lived up to its name this year with strong winds on the return leg of the bike and start of the run making this one of the toughest races in recent years. Congratulations to all finishers as this year was trully a test of endurance and strength.

Brian Campbell put in a storming run to retain his title catching Mark Dowling 9km in to the run. Brian Jenkins from Limerick club put in a superb run split to hold off Art Macmanusa on the run to come in 3rd overall, Art was forth and Liam Dolan was next in 5th.

The Ladies event was also a closely fought affair with Katharina Baldinger putting in an superb bike and run leg to take the title from last years winner Elana Maslova with Lisa Horgan a close third.

Special thanks to all volunteers, marshalls, race organisors for making this years event the biggest and best yet.
