 Unique Half Marathon through an awe inspiring route around the lakes of Killarney and in Killarney national park.
 
The race starts at Molls Gap and will take you long a route that hugs the crystal clear waters of the Lakes of Killarney and into Muckross House and Gardens.
 
Run Killarney Half Marathon is open to everyone, men and women alike, at all levels of running experience. The race also welcomes walkers, newcomers and people who just want a challenge and a great day out.
 
The Run Killarney Half Marathon is part of the Run Killarney.com running festival which also includes a 10K and a 15 Mile race distance. 
 
Entry fee includes: Customised finisher medal Technical running T-shirt Goodie bag Massage at finish line Hot and cold tubs & showers A great atmosphere and a fun day out.

Kerry, Ireland.Biking over the spectacular winding Conor Pass, following in the footsteps of St Brandon climbing Ireland's second highest Mountain range Mt Brandon, running country roads of the peninsula and kayaking in Dingle Harbour.

Category Prizes. All proceeds to go to the maintenance of Castlemaine Community Sportsfield.

The race will start form the Beach Car Park at 12 noon and follows a tricky uphill route before levelling out on Kerryhead giving you a chance to drink in the magnificent views of Tralee Bay stretching from Banna Beach to Brandon Mountain. For those of you who are not ready for a 10k road race or who just wish to particiapte and support the Family Resouce Centre there will be a 5k walk taking place at the same time. It follows the 10k route for part ofthe course before taking a short cut and rejoining the main route for the last part of the race. The charity walk costs just €5 for Adults, FREE for Children. The Good Friday Run is a 5 mile road race around the streets of Killarney Town on Friday 29th March 2013. The course is AI Permitted, measured with a Jones counter and the race is chip timed. Each participant will receive a goody bag containing a specially commissioned Good Friday Run Egg Cup hand made locally by the pupils of Kerry Parents and Friends Killarney. There will be after race food etc.

- The race is 13.1m TRAIL RUN between Kenmare and the grounds of Muckross House in Killarney National Park. The course follows the the final section of the 'Kerry Way' - the spectacular hiking route that meanders around the Iveragh Peninsula - a stunning setting.  The route has been selected with a view to attracting all levels of athletes - runners; joggers;walkers - and has been designed under the watchful eye of former World  Mountain Running Champion, and proud Kerryman, John Lenihan.
The race will leave Kenmare by the 'Old Kenmare Road' where immediately theres a good climb to Windy Gap -  at which point the route 'levels out' to an extent. Runners then continue towards Killarney National Park where eventually they will come down a steep descent alongside Torc Waterfall and into the grounds of Muckross House and Gardens. The last few miles are on the smooth pathways around Muckross House. Trail shoes are advisable
WILD WEST RUN fully supports Killarney National Parks and environmental agencies in promoting and protecting Ireland's natural landcape, flora and fauna - as such we will provide water/refreshment and refuse stations along the way
DIRECTIONAL MARSHALLS  will be in place on the course, as well as SAFETY MARSHALLS in areas where conditions are slightly hazardous. MEDICAL STAFF  will be in place for the event
POST RACE PARTY to be held in the evening in one of Killarney's top  venues. Details to runners on race morning!
                                
COACHES will be provided to the RACE START POINT for athletes who stay in Killarney. These are available also for runners who wish to leave their cars in Killarney/Muckross during the race. Cost of transfer is €7pp whhich can be paid online.
GOODY BAGS - the first 100 ONLINE ENTRIES will receive 'goody bags' with tech t shirts; 2 race gels and RonHill Winter beeny hats!! Thereafter, its the tech ts and gels guys.
