Run with Chiropractic...

Chiropractic is a profession specialising in spinal health and the spine’s intimate relationship with the nervous system. Chiropractic treats the neuromusculoskeletal system of the body. Simply put this means that chiropractic looks at the joints, muscles and nervous system of the body, all of which are intrinsically linked. If one or more of these systems does not function then the other systems may start to dysfunction as a compensation.

Chiropractic’s role is to identify areas in the body that are not mechanically sound and to adjust the body accordingly. There are many ways to do this. Chiropractic’s main treatment is that of the chiropractic adjustment, that is chiropractic manipulation of the dysfunctional joint. The employment of muscular/massage techniques, stretching techniques and rehabilitation is also used. So for example pain on the outer part of your lower leg may be caused by a reduction in joint movement of the ankle or of the knee. Treatment of such a dysfunction would involve some or all of the above treatment methods. This may be applied to all areas of the body and therefore any sport. Chiropractic is not solely for spinal health but for entire physical well-being.
