Kerry Trail Run The Wild West Run, in partnership with Kenmare AC, is back in action and kicks off on the 28 Feb 2015! This year’s route is 13.1m of Kerry hill and glen and is open to entrants of all abilities. Its been designed under the watchful eye of former World Mountain Running Champion John Lenihan – who used much of it on his own training runs – who believes its a good test for elite athletes, yet also very suitable for novices. John will also be out on the course marshalling and lending encouragement to all.
As usual we’ll have some of the best prizes on offer – over €1500 worth of premium trail running kit for the first three male/ female; not to mention spot prizes for the more leisurely competitor! In addition, super goody bags complete with branded tech-tees, energy bars and gels; We have AAI insurance; a medical team in attendance with Safety/Directional Marshalls and Water Stations throughout.
The Kenmare Bay Hotel are also on board this time – they’ll provide post race use of their Health Club and Spa, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam Room and Pool at a knockdown price for all Wild West Runners. Check out their weekend rates for runners and their families.
