The 7th annual Great Island 10 Mile Road Race’ takes place on Sunday April 10th in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Once again this year there is a 10 mile and 4 mile option available on the day.
The event has over the past 6 years raised over €120,000 for the Irish Cancer Society, this year funds raised for the society will be used to support thier palliative care.
The 10 mile course is a great test of fitness, stength and grit, a perfect warm up race for the Cork City Marathon.
The 4 mile is a flatter faster route, perfect for runners, joggers and walkers to enjoy. The 4 mile diatnance a great lung opener for those chasing PB’s in a 10k event later in the season.
