Does anybody know if there is a maximum allowed time for the ultra? What with pneumonia and then a fall since Christmas my training is shot to ribbons. Do they close down after 8 or 10 hours and you ahve to hitch-hike to Galway??

Our last Ultra finishers are usually over the line in around 8.30 Slower than that shouldn't really consider the distance. It is stated in our rules that we have a 2.30 cut off for the first half marathon, 5 hours for the second half and no cut off after that. If someone is going to be out there for 9 hours that means 4 hours for the third half marathon which is stretching it a bit.

Thanks for that
I did it in 5 56 or thereabouts last year so with luck and reasonable weather I should get in under 8 30.
