Is anybody else thinking of doing this?
It seems like an ideal training run for the Conn Ultra.
First year of running though so I have no idea what it will be like.

I am doing the Connemara Ultra, but wouldnt consider running an ultra in February. Mainly because I wouldnt be able to trat any race as an easy training run, I would try to do my best and that being the case it would really hammer the training for the Connemara because of the length of the recovery time. It would finish off the rest of February at least and then you should be tapering down to Connemara. Still if you are disciplined and was careful about pacing and recovery then you could treat it as a training run, though seeing as its a trail run I'd then be worried about injury...decision for yourself
