SOS - Save Our Sport in Northern Ireland
The government is proposing a range of funding cut backs that will have far reaching implications for Northern Ireland’s athletes and for a whole range of sporting and fitness initiatives aimed at women, older people, and those with a disability.
Please go to http://www.saveoursport.net/ and sign the petition before Friday 26th February 2010. Please help by signing up.
Thanks,

Thanks for your good luck wishes Yvonne! They only ask for name, address and email address on the petition so everyone can sign on and put a bit of pressure behind us.
Help keep sport available for all.
Ya be good to remind them of the benefits of sport on all aspects of health, mind body and spirit in all ages and in all abilities and the cost to the NHS in North when people don't have access to such important resources in terms of their personal health and especially to the people who care for others in our community. You go girl! there will be a lot of support for your petition, North or South on this issue we should all be united because it won't be long till the same effects will be dealt down here in the South so we may as well work together now as later! Good luck xx
Signed up HelenD, and good luck on your petition

Signed up helen,
this should be on an article what do you think :-)
I agree its a very important issue for everyone on the whole island of Ireland, not just the North, yvonne
Thanks guys! I appreciate all your help.
Seb, great idea. The only problem being I received the NI Sports Forum email on 24th Feb and the petition had to be signed by 26th February. But if they extend the date, it would be great to get something on the website and get more people to sign up.
When we lose our access to sport, we lose out on so much.

Hi HelenD, have done that hope it is sucessfull for everyone in the North, good luck to all concerned, yvonne
